WISE Computing Award Sponsored by Goldman Sachs The number of girls taking Computer Science is flat, only one in eight of those gaining Computing A Level in 2018 were girls. On this trajectory, we won’t reach gender parity in A-Level Computing for over eighty years. We want to inspire more girls to want to work in this area. This award is for someone working in computing and technology who loves her work, can communicate her passion to others and will inspire others to follow in her footsteps, and take up a role or a degree in Computing. Judges will look for standout achievements, contributions to successful projects, code and project quality and examples of innovation. We are looking to highlight a woman who has shown outstanding excellence in areas such as software engineering, computer science, data science or data engineering. All WISE Awards nominations must be submitted in either Microsoft word or PDF format via email to [email protected] before midnight on 23rd June 2019.
