Indoor Event Spaces

From conventions to banquets to birthday parties, the Student Union offers a wide variety of spaces that can accommodate your special event. The Student Union has four conference rooms, three seminar rooms and a 5,200 square foot ballroom located on the third floor of the West building. It also has a 236-seat auditorium located on the second floor. These rooms are available for reservations and are equipped with the most up-to-date audio/visual technology. Our staff is always available to assist you throughout your special event.

*Room 3613 is not available for reservations but may be used for events at the discretion of the Event Services Office.**A $25 application fee will be accessed to all non-affiliated events.***All non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations will receive a 20% discount.

Outdoor Event SpacesThe Student Union also has several outdoor programming spaces. The Coxwell Amphitheater has a capacity of over 6,000 and includes a covered stage, perfect for outdoor concerts and festivals. Osprey Plaza is a partially covered area between the East and West buildings.

How to Reserve Event Space

1. Go to www.unf.edu/studentunion/reservations.aspx

2. Click to download the appropriate form(s). Refer to the next page to determine which forms pertain to your event.

3. Fill out the form(s) online or by hand.

4. Turn the form(s) in to the Reservations Office located in Building 58 East, Suite 1302 or email the form(s) to sureservations@unf.edu.

Types of Forms

General Request Reservation Form: Used by UNF groups and departments

Off-Campus User Form: Used by clients/events that are either co-sponsored by or not affiliated with the University of North Florida

Live Sound Form: Used for indoor and outdoor events that utilize any form of amplified sound.

Special Event Form: Used in addition to General Request Form when any of the following apply: ·Attendance is over 100 guests, especially if the University Police Department (UPD) is needed for the event.·Alcohol will be served at the event. ·The food will not be provided by UNF-preferred caterers (Mayes Food Service or In Any Event Catering/Chartwells).

Alcohol Approval Form: Used for any event that serves alcohol.

Market Days Request Form: Used for Market Days held every Wednesday in Osprey Plaza during the fall and spring semesters.
