Visiting Brighton DomeThis is a picture of Brighton Dome. There are two entrances, one shown here and another that looks the same further down the road. You will need to enter through this entrance if you need to collect tickets.

Our staff are also here to help you find your way around and help you take your seat. They wear black and their uniforms have a Brighton Dome logo on them, like this.

If you would like to buy a drink or a snack, you can get these from our bar and café area before the show and at the interval This is our bar area.

This is our café. You can buy tea, coffee and hot chocolate here, as well as cakes and cookies and nibbles. There is a fridge with soft drinks you can buy.

The bar and café are both in our foyer which looks like this.

It can be very busy in our bar area before a show like this

This is what the Concert Hall looks like when you are inside. There is seating downstairs if you are in the stalls or seating upstairs if you are in the circle.

The Snowman & Paddington Bear’s First Concert

During the show you can make noise or move around in the room, you don’t have to worry that someone will tell you to stop. You can leave the room at any time, you can come and go as much as you like. There will be a chill-out area, outside the performance area if you want a break. The chill out area will be in our Founders Room that looks like this. We will put in some blankets and cushions.

The show timings will be 1.45pm Doors2.30pm start3.00pm Interval3.50pm End

In part one you will hear all about the famous bear arriving into Paddington railway station (and so getting his name), meeting the Browns and Mr Gruber before attending his first ever concert. This is narrated live on stage by a performer.After the interval in part two the classic animated film of The Snowman, based on the Raymond Briggs book, will be shown on a big screen. Walking in the Air will be sung live. The film will be accompanied by live orchestra of 34 instruments.

If you don’t like loud music you can wear ear defenders. We have some at Brighton Dome that

you can borrow, however if you have your own you may find that more comfortable and we only have a limited amount so we may run out if lots of people need them.

During the performance and at the end people will clap. You don’t have to join in if you don’t want to.
