Snake by Nayel Choudhury Y9

Slowly and steadily slithering around, aware of his surroundings. His movement gets slower as he gets closer to his prey and starts to stick out his tongue.

Now the snake observes his dinner’s movement, watching its’ every little step. Poor dear, however, can’t see that his death is near.

Attack as deadly as a bullet shot from a sniper rifle. Fangs too big for his mouth and as hungry as ever, the snake decides to go for the...

Kill. Every other dear runs as fast as they can in fear that their death is also here.

Eating away his well earned dinner, the feaster has now become the dominator.

White Lion by Shobnom Khanum Y9

White fur, glimmering like the sun shining on snow.

He is the white lion, the predator who everyone knows.

In the jungle he prances, moving slowly as the king.

The orange hue of his eyes sparkling mischievously, as he waits for his prey. Patiently. Silently.

Every move is on edge, for it has a pledge, to upkeep his giant mane and never not be the best.

Lives in danger for it’s on its own and challenges the rest.

Is it possible that something so beautiful can cause so many deaths?

Over there it lies, by the river’s edge.

Never changing his soul-less ways and

baring his dripping fangs at his next guest.
