Math: Play a subtraction game: gather 10 empty toilet paper rolls and a small ball. Set the tp rolls up like bowling pins. Stand back and roll the ball like you’re bowling. Count how many pins are knocked down and make a subtraction sentence- Ex: I knocked down 6 pins so my subtraction sentence would be: 10-6=4. Have students write their problems out on paper. Have your child play as long as they would like.

Use items from around your house to build a zoo for your stuffed or toy animals

Sit outside and watch the clouds. Can you see any pictures in the clouds? Draw pictures of what you see!

Look in a mirror at your reflection to draw a self portrait.

Build a tower out of playing cards

Go on a nature scavenger hunt! Take/draw pictures of the interesting things you find!

Use recycled materials like boxes and bottles to make a musical instrument. Play a concert for your family!

Fill a sink with water. Collect some items from around the house (Check with your parents to make sure it’s ok to use these items) Make a hypothesis (a good guess) about whether the item will sink or float. Test your hypothesis.
