Lord of the Rings Homework Assignment

Part I:

Study the character personality type indicators given to each of the characters listed on the other side of this sheet. Each evening, after viewing the film in class, choose two characters to analyze. You will be required to pick one of the descriptors given and describe what specific action or scene occurred that would support that character’s specific trait.

See the Example below:

Character: SamwiseTrait: CautiousSupport: He is cautious when he is reluctant to leave the Shire. He stops when reaching the furthest point he had ever traveled. Samwise was concerned with the threat that the outside world posed because he had never gone that far beyond his home.

Part II:

During the viewing of this film, reflect upon which character most closely resembles your personality type. How are you similar to this character? What specific actions or dialogue from the film most closely resemble the way you would act in a similar situation?

This reflection should be AT LEAST one full page in length (typed, 12 point font, double-spaced)

Due Date: You are responsible for turning in a hard copy of this assignment on Tuesday, September 27th. Both Part I and Part II must be submitted to turnitin.com **AS ONE SINGLE DOCUMENT** by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 26th.
