My Immigration Brochure Objective: Real world application of art integrating with technology and Social Studies. Students will research and learn about immigration laws and regulations while researching a country that they would like to live in. Brochures will be created using Microsoft Publisher. Days 1 and 2: Research a country that you would like to live in. Find out what areas of the country have good schools, affordable housing, jobs, public transportation, income graphs, etc. Research criteria to immigrate into that country. Put all of your research information on a Word Document and save it to your student ID folder. Day 3: Research travel brochures and images of your country for ideas for your brochure. You will need images of things that would make someone want to come see the country you have chosen. Save your images to your student ID folder. Day 4-7: click on the windows icon on the bottom left hand corner of your screen. Click on “all programs” click on Microsoft office then click on publisher. Type the word “brochure” in the template search and choose a business tri-fold brochure for your template. Click “create” when you have chosen your format. My Immigration BrochureObjective: Real world application of art integrating with technology and Social Studies. Students will research and learn about immigration laws and regulations while researching a country that they would like to live in. Brochures will be created using Microsoft Publisher.

Days 1 and 2: Research a country that you would like to live in. Find out what areas of the country have good schools, affordable housing, jobs, public transportation, income graphs, etc. Research criteria to immigrate into that country. Put all of your research information on a Word Document and save it to your student ID folder.

Day 3: Research travel brochures and images of your country for ideas for your brochure. You will need images of things that would make someone want to come see the country you have chosen. Save your images to your student ID folder.

Day 4-7: click on the windows icon on the bottom left hand corner of your screen. Click on “all programs” click on Microsoft office then click on publisher.

Type the word “brochure” in the template search and choose a business tri-fold brochure for your template. Click “create” when you have chosen your format.

The third panel will be the first page of your tri-fold brochure. Change the text to reflect what information you want to include to get them to read your brochure. your brochure. Include your name on the back bottom section of the brochure, “created by________”.

Click on the 2nd page of your brochure on the left hand side of your screen where it says, “pages”. This is the information that will be inside your brochure explaining why they viewer should immigrate to your country. Your template will show you which information is viewed first by the headings: main heading, secondary heading and the secondary heading with image. Make sure you include the criteria for immigration in this section.

Save your work to your student ID folder. You will need to print your brochure. Fold the brochure and turn it in.
