DEAR TEACHERS, ACSI has partnered with World Vision to pilot a new educational resource focusing on global issues with a Christian worldview. They have invited our school to join them as together we pilot this new program! World Vision has created a new, K-12 resource, the Lessons for Global Citizens book. It has been designed to engage our students and increase their awareness of global poverty and justice. We have just received all of our resources in hard copy, as well as the digital version of the lessons and other materials. I invite you to review them as soon as possible. Lessons for Global Citizens includes: • An introduction and overview of the resources included • Lessons grouped by grade-level to educate and inspire student’s involvement in global issues as well as spiritual growth • An interactive, hands-on experience combined with video and real-life stories • Options for schools and students to respond in tangible ways to help eradicate poverty in their community and around the world To ensure our students have an excellent experience, World Vision is also providing additional resources, including a website with engaging videos, stories, and supporting information. Here you can also access a digital copy of Lessons for Global Citizens, and download by lesson. Your landing page is: www.worldvision.org/acsisponsor Since we will be launching these lessons in January, I ask that you please visit the website and review the lessons for your grade level as soon as possible.
