JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Family Fund Job Title: Digital Content Officer Grade: DResponsible to: Marketing and Communications Officer Date: January 2020Purpose of job: To develop and deliver Family Fund Business Services (FFBS) digital content, copy and marketing materials that will drive brand awareness, realise new business opportunities, and engage new stakeholders. To provide insight and contribute to the delivery of the FFBS Business Development & Marketing Strategy, raising the profile of the organisation through content development, digital campaigns and day-to-day engagement activity.
Duties and responsibilities:
Content Deliver relevant and engaging content for identified B2B audiences to attract new customers as well as
retain existing ones. Work with the Head of Group Communications, Senior Media Officer, Head of Business Development,
and Marketing and Communications Officer to develop and deliver a content calendar, ensuring delivery of weekly and monthly content across all channels in line with the Business Development and Marketing Strategy.
Develop strong understanding of FFBS’ model, and the political, social and financial context in which it exists, in order to support creation of appropriate content, including campaigns, blogs, white papers and other longer-form writing.
Copy write for identified key audiences across a range of communications channels, including promotional literature, websites, external articles and press, and a variety of publications both online and offline.
Work with Marketing and Communications Officer, communications team and external agencies when required to produce engaging and targeted FFBS materials for online and offline channels.
Work with Marketing and Communications Officer and Senior Media Officer to identify and develop stories suitable for identified media outlets/channels.
Digital Manage and update FFBS website including suggesting improvements to functionality and content. Manage and update FFBS social media channels and content calendar to raise FFBS’ profile, promote
products and services, and engage with partners, supporters, and current and potential customers, ensuring appropriate tone of voice and consistent key messaging.
Support the FFBS Business Development Team by responding to queries through our social media channels.
Support with internal communications and FFBS related content via the Family Fund Intranet Make use of CRM to maximise targeted digital marketing opportunities. Report on campaign metrics
and performance using Mailchimp, Google Analytics and social media statistics / insights. Provide monthly analysis of all digital activity to FFBS management team Staying up to date with and identifying key trends across digital channels that can help engage with key
audiences. Ensure all digital marketing activity is GDPR-compliant and follows industry best practice
Sales Proactively support the FFBS team in identifying opportunities to raise awareness of FFBS, increasing
lead generation through engaging and educational content.
General Carry out other general communications and marketing tasks that may arise. Appropriate duties as required by senior management.
