Introducing John and Patti Schrader
John and Patti Schrader, of Lake George, have attended
Faithbridge Church for about 25 years. John is a Contractor
and Patti does bookkeeping for John and home educates
two of their children that are still at home. Speaking of
children, they have seven: Danielle (now in Anchorage,
AK), David and Kristin (both in Townsend, MT), Rebekah,
Simon, Laura and Lydia (still at home).
John grew up in Illinois and Patti in Pine City, MN. They met at Oak Hills Bible
Institute in Bemidji in 1980 and formed a friendship that has lasted ever since. As a
family they have enjoyed camping, playing games, having other families over for
dinner or campfires, watching movies, and airsoft parties.
Their family has been involved in several ministries at church including AWANA, Jr
and Sr High Youth Groups, Missions trips, Deacon board, Women’s Ministry Team,
Sunday School Teachers, and Family Ministry. Their most current ministry focus is on
reaching out to others as they are involved in Civil Air Patrol in Bemidji.
John and Patti appreciate the friendships they have made and are grateful for the
investment that others have made in them and their children over the years. They
have been blessed to be part of this fellowship!
Their life verse for their marriage and family is Romans 12:1-2: “I urge you
therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy
sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be
conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you
may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Alan and Kathy Johnson are pleased to give honor to
Gunnery Sergeant, Paul Minix, Kathy’s brother, who
served in the US Marine Corps. He retired in February
after 21 years of service that included two tours in Iraq.
He has also worked with Wounded Warriors for the last seven years.
We congratulate Paul Carter (track, mile run) and Frank Schaap
III (in the 400, 200, and 100 meter dashes), who will be
inducted into the Panther Athletic Hall of Fame on May 20th.
Congratulations to Kristi Lundsten (Menahga Special Ed
teacher) who was recognized as a Menahga Public School
NJPA Teacher of Excellence. NJPA is the National Joint
Powers Alliance for Educational Solutions.
Are you living your life in such a way that those around you would call
you a biblical Christian? If not, you may want to get your house in
order for the Lord Jesus Christ will return to separate the wheat from
the chaff, and the wheat shall be spared and the chaff burned up.
These verses below precede Malachi's warning of "the day of the
Lord", when the Lord will return as a burning fire to consume the evil
(stubble). But he will turn the hearts of the children to their Father and
they shall leap about as the calf released from the stall (in Joy)
treading over the ashes of the evil that have been consumed in the
fire. If you want the Lord to treat you as a treasured possession on
that day, then treat him as your treasured possession now, choose
this day whom you will serve.
Malachi 3:17Malachi 3:17Malachi 3:17Malachi 3:17----18 (ESV)18 (ESV)18 (ESV)18 (ESV)
They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in the day when I make up
my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his
son who serves him. Then once more you shall see the distinction
between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God
and one who does not serve him.

and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the
very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

The final meeting this spring for MOPS is scheduled
for Tuesday, May 5th, in the Fellowship Hall of
Faithbridge from 9 – 11 am. The theme to “Be You
Bravely” has inspired moms to go outside their comfort zone to
bravely be better moms, wives, friends and community
members. New moms are invited to come to meet other moms
and enjoy a brunch.
The Moppets volunteers, who have faithfully come to lovingly
care for and teach the children, have been greatly appreciated!
Their service to the children and to the moms has made a positive
difference in the lives of these young families. Thank You, from

As summertime comes, extra help with the boys would be appreciated (a
time in the park or at the beach, playing with friends, a field trip, etc.).
Continue to pray for the family as they go through this journey, that the
Lord will strengthen them as a family and bring health to Aden.
