WHAT IS WEB 2.0?

• Web 2.0 is the term given to describe a second generation of the World Wide Web (WWW) that is focused on the ability for people to collaborate and share information online.

•Facebook is a free application that helps you connect and share with people all around the world.

•You are able to post and comment on thoughts and different forms of media such as pictures, videos, voice recordings and so on...

• Twitter is a social networking and micro blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as ‘tweets’

• Tweets are text based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as ‘followers’.

• Wiki is a type of website that allows visitors themselves to easily add, remove and edit available content.

• Wikispaces are an easy place for people to start their own Wiki sites. They provide all the benefits of a Wiki while being very simple to use for non-technical users.

• Youtube is a global online communication site in which users can upload and share videos.

• Users are also able to provide feedback on videos in which they have viewed.
