Why Show the Empty Tomb?

• The stone was rolled away from the door, not to permit Christ to come out, but to enable the disciples to go in.

What is the Relevance?

• Jesus coming out of the tomb is good, but what does it mean to me?

• 1. Life is temporary.• 2. Jesus’ was the

first to be eternally raised not the last!

Death Without the Sting??

• How can we face our mortality without fear?

• I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: (1) We will not all sleep [1 Thessalonians 4:15], but (2) we will all be changed-- 52 (3) in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, (4) at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, (5) the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
