"DearDr.Chenan,
Thank you very much for all that you have done for our two poor patients referred to you. Thank you for allowing God to bring his healing love to both of them through successful open heart surgery. They are indeed touched by the thoughtful care you have personally given them and are grateful for all the concern and care.
I do not know how to thank you for the substantial concessions given on their surgeries. May god bless you and the beautiful work you are doing for him. May you continue to be his hands to heal and his heart to love all those who come to you in pain, sorrow and also great hope.
I enclose the prayer of the physician for you that you may walk in the footsteps of the great healer our lord Jesus. My gratitude to you is my daily prayer for you."
I had the pleasure to visit the hospital where Dr. Chenan and his group of doctors are doing excellent work. They were not only doing complicated revascularization surgery for acquired heart diseases, Bypass and Transmyocardial Revascularization, but they were also doing very complicated congenital heart surgeries. Now, I have always said that congenital heart surgery separates the men from the boys because there, the skill of a heart surgeon is really tested."
I am happy to find that a high technology cardio-thoracic and vascular diseases centre has been created in a remote Panchayat (Parumala) in Kerala, which is a dream for every rural Indian."

I congratulate you on all your magnificent achievements. I also predict confidently that you and the Institute of Cardio-Vascular Diseases in Madras will have an important and growing influence in the cardiac surgical world, and will provide your patients with unusual and exemplary cardiac surgery."
Dr. K.M. Chenan is a true leader in surgery and has established his institution as one of the most versatile and accomplished in India and Asia. I admire his accomplishments".

I first met Dr Cherian when I went to the UAB in Birmingham at the invitation of Prof Kirklin in 1974. Ever since we have met regularly at International conferences. We have maintained a deepHpersonal as well as professional connect. Dr Cherian invited me to Chennai for the inauguration of the International Centre for Vascular Diseases (ICVD) at the Madras Medical Mission. Later on,when the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) was built, he took me down to Pondicherry. During this visit to India, I also stayed for a few days with Cherian and his family.
This is a world class institution. We are proud to have this in Chennai. I wish Dr.Chenan and his dedicated team of doctors and medical personnel all success and pray that this medical institution may grow from strength to strength."

Esteemed Cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiologists from USA, New Zealand, Sweden and Lithuania visit the hospital regularly to perform surgeries and provide educational support. It has the unique Honour of being visited by His Excellency Dr. A. P. J.
