Danny Meetze Senior Pastor

What a wonderful summer we have had!

Youth Summer Camp at Caswell- This was my first trip to Caswell. I knew what to expect as far as a youth camp went, but had no idea of what to expect from the accommodations. Our State Convention has done a wonderful job with Caswell, as they do with all their resources. Our students were awesome! They were attentive during worship and the sermons as well as took the leadership role in leading the devotions each night. We had 2 students come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and other decisions were made

during the week. I look forward to baptizing these students and others on August 20.

VBS- What a week we had! I am still trying to catch up on the rest I lost during VBS. A big shout out to Brooke Wilson, Mindy Rouse, and Robin Satterlee for the job they did in preparation. Also, all our teachers, assistant teachers and volunteers from Babies to Adults did an amazing job. We had many raise their hand in wanting to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior on Wednesday night. We will trust that the prayer they prayed was a true commitment to God and that the seeds planted in others will be watered and soon be reaped.

And thank you to all who participated in our VBS Missions Offering. We raised over $1500 to go to Christian Adoption Services in Monroe, NC. Our goal

was $1000 and we doubled our offering total from last year’s VBS! Way to GO!

With summer drawing to a close and school starting back very soon, let us turn our attention on activities we have coming up in August. On August 5, we will be setting up a tent at Farmer’s Day. We believe this will be right in front of Farm Bureau. Our tent is going to be a “Cool Zone” to offer people relief from the heat. Please come out and see us and even join us as we share about our church. We will be there all day (or as long as we can stand the heat)!

PraiseFest is coming up on Sunday, August 27 at First Baptist Church of Pinehurst. Our choir will be participating in that service, so let’s go over that Sunday night and show our support of our choir and our Baptist Association.

Casey Galloway

Director of Students & Families

I hope everyone is finding a way to keep cool in this hot weather! I see a lot of you have already made a trip to the beach for the summer. I can't believe we are already a month away from school starting back. Speaking of school I wanted to thank everyone for all their help with VBS, it was awesome! From the music, to teachers, crafts, food, recreation, and the directors, it ran very smooth and you could

tell everyone was having a good time while serving the Lord! A big thank you also for the money raised for Christian Adoption Services, and for reaching and exceeding our $1,000 goal.

I hope everyone got a chance to choose to serve this church year as the handouts were placed in the bulletin by the enlistment committee. I hear there are still some open spots so it's not too late if you missed it!

Anyone interested in helping out with the Farmer's Day booth on Saturday, August the 5th please see Pastor Danny. We will be handing out water, face painting, and more!

For those K-Love listeners, Building 429 will be in Biscoe on August the 6th at 7pm for a free concert! They will be singing at Transformation Church located at 309 Page Street, Biscoe.

In Christ, Casey Galloway

Ernesto Robledo

Pastor of Hispanic Ministries

Hispanic Church

I’m so grateful to the Lord for the many blessings He has given me, my family, and ministry. Recently, we were involved in our joint VBS. It was a great experience for children, youth and adults. My wife and I led the Hispanic Adult Class and we were blessed by the powerful message of some of the movies that we showed.

In addition, my wife led a craft work related to prayer. We also had fun cutting, pasting and

having fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Since August is just around the corner, we are getting ready to reach out and witness to the Latinos during Farmer’s day. It will be a perfect opportunity to share the love of God by handing out Spanish New Testaments and tracts. Rev. Ernesto Robledo, D. Min.

Iglesia Hispana

Rev. Ernesto Robledo, D. Min.

Adult Choir: The Adult Choir will rehearse on the following Wednesday evenings after Bible Study; August 9, 16, 23. We will be rehearsing for the Sunday morning worship services and for the upcoming PraiseFest. We welcome any new Choir members. Please join us for a time of worship and encouragement! PraiseFest: Mark your calendars for this year’s PraiseFest to be held on Sunday, August 27 at Pinehurst

First Baptist Church. Our Choir will participate in this Praise and Worship service. The bus will be provided for those who need transportation.

Praise Song Lyrics: What Love Is This by Kari Jobe

You never change, you are the God you say you are

When I’m afraid you calm and still my beating heart

You stay the same, when hope is just a distant thought

You take my pain and you lead me to the cross

What love is this, that you gave your life for me

And made a way for me to know you

And I confess you’re always enough for me

You’re all I need

I look to you, I see the scars upon your hands

And hold the truth that when I can’t you always can

And standing here beneath the shadow of the cross

I’m overwhelmed that I keep finding open arms
