CIVIL STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING

Our offshore department designs the structural steel for fixed platforms, floating topsides, skids, pipe supports and access platforms, and develops weight estimates and reports. Our onshore department designs structural support systems, including superstructures, foundations and other structural systems for industrial facilities, and develops and monitors material estimates.

What you might do:

• Apply Structural Dynamics, Advanced Structural Analysis, Advanced Steel Design

• Learn on the job to use modeling and analysis software

• Work with structural designers to draw fabrication, installation or construction plans

INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING

We create specifications and procure instrumentation needed for specific applications. We also maintain project indexes dictating size and functionality of process control and safety systems.

What you might do:

• Support instrument and control engineering deliverable production

• Develop instrument indexes, selection and sizing calculations

• Produce instrumentation datasheets, requisitions and bid tabulations

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

We provide complete power system design services to the oil and gas industry. This includes safe, cost-effective, fit-for-purpose electrical support from design through installation and operation.

What you might do:

• Create one line drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment and technical specifications

• Calculate power system design using ETAP or SKM

• Specify and procure electrical equipment for requisition and installation

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

We work from conceptual design through facility construction and start-up. We work closely with Process Engineers to size equipment and then handle specs, procurement, and vendor coordination.

What you might do:

• Understand projects by communicating with lead mechanical engineer and other mentors

• Engage with external parties including equipment vendors and facility fabricators

• Take ownership of design, purchase and fabrication of equipment and piping packages

PIPING ENGINEERING

We help the client and Process Engineering develop pipe specifications. We also ensure pipe systems and routes meet all client, equipment governing code and internal requirements.

What you might do:

• Communicate daily with Piping Design, Civil Structural and Process Engineers

• Help create pipe specifications, pipe stress packages and engineered pipe support requisitions

• Learn about projects with on-the-job training from mentor engineers

PROCESS ENGINEERING

We model stream data for conceptual facility designs, create operating scenario process flow diagrams, and develop facility diagrams for piping, instrumentation, equipment and controls.

What you might do:

• Understand and interpret technical data and information

• Use engineering software, especially Aspentech HYSYS

• Collaborate on process diagrams, piping/instrumentation designs, process simulations, hydraulics, and equipment and piping sizing

TECHNICAL SAFETY ENGINEERING

We ensure that the design of offshore and onshore facilities comply with regulatory and client requirements for safety, fire protection, environmental and human factors.

What you might do:

• Create layouts and analysis for fire protection, fire & gas detection

• Conduct safety studies using CFD ( Computational Fluid Dynamics) and non-CFD computer-modeling

• Complete environmental and human factor activities and deliverables
