It is music of social, cultural and artistic integration and a powerful tool to enhance cognitive and educational development. It is also accessible music that can inspire greater cultural and musical literacy.

BackCountry Jazz presents concerts and educational programs by celebrated artists using the transformative power of music to create change in young lives and communities.

We work collaboratively with partner organizations to invigorate the community educationally and socially, while building future audiences for America’s unique cultural heritage - jazz. Through concerts, educational programs, scholarships, and the summer music camp, Back-Country Jazz makes significant contributions to building stronger communities. Our programs focus on urban centers and disadvantaged children.
