The official name of the country is THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION. It is often called RUSSIA. The poetic name of the country is RUS.

The National Anthem of the Russian Federation was composed by Alexander Alexandrov , lyrics were written by Sergey Mikhalkov.

The Russian flag is sometimes called THE IMPERIAL FLAG. It consists of 3 equal stripes of white, blue and red. The colours of

the Russian flag symbolise:

white – frankness and generosity

blue – honesty and wisdom

red – courage and love

Emblem is the golden DOUBLE-HEADED EAGLE with St George on a shield in the middle.

There is a historical crown above the two heads of the eagle.

The official name of the country is THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND or just THE UNITED KINGDOM. The country is often called BRITAIN. The poetic name of the country is ALBION.

"God Save the King"  is the British national anthem and of some British territories. If a queen reigns, “QUEEN” is used instead of “KING”, “she ” instead of “he”.

God save our gracious Queen, Long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen: Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us: God save the Queen. 

O Lord, our God, arise, Scatter her enemies, And make them fall. Confound their politics, Frustrate their knavish tricks, On Thee our hopes we fix, God save us all. 

The flag of the United Kingdom is called THE UNION JACK. The flag combines the flags of three countries –England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Wales is not represented in the flag.

The UNION JACK is a combination of the crosses of three patron saints of the country:

the red cross of St George on a white background (England)

the white diagonal cross of St Andrew on a blue background (Scotland)

the red diagonal cross of St Patrick on a white background (Ireland)

The official name of the country is THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA because the country consists of 50 states . It is often called THE USA or just AMERICA because of the name of the continent.

The flag of the United States of America is known as THE STARS AND STRIPES.

It consists of 50 stars which represent the fifty states. 13 red and white horizontal stripes (seven red and six white ) stand for the original thirteen states that were united in 1776.
