OPERATION

OPERATIONBefore beginning, make sure the carand work area are clean and dry. If nec-essary, remove tar, bug stains, grease, etc. with general cleaner before polish-ing.

1. Place the blue wax applicator bonneton the pad. Make sure the elastic istucked down securely and evenlyaround the underside of the pad.

2. -PASTE WAX-DO NOT APPLY WAX DIRECTLY TOCAR. Spread a heaping teaspoon ofwax evenly over the entire surface ofthe blue wax applicator bonnet. A puttyknife or other flat object is recom-mended to spread the wax on theapplicator bonnet. -LIQUID WAX-DO NOT APPLY WAX DIRECTLY TOCAR. Apply three swirls of liquid waxon the blue wax applicator bonnet. This first application should do about aquarter of the car. For the second andthird applications of wax, use half ofthe quantity stated above. The bonnetwill not absorb as much of the waxafter the first application.

3. ALWAYS START AND STOP THEPOLISHER ON OR AGAINST THECAR SURFACE. Place the extensioncord over your shoulder and do flatsurfaces first, such as the hood, trunkand roof. Cover areas quickly withbroad, sweeping strokes in a criss-cross pattern. DO NOT press down onthe polisher. The machine’s action, notpressure, will produce the best results.

4. After the flat surfaces have beenapplied with wax, apply the wax to thesides of the car. Hold the polisher withone hand on the handle and one onthe hand hold and let the cord hangfree. It is not necessary to use a criss-cross motion on the doors and fend-ers.

5. Remove the blue wax applicator bon-net from the machine and use it tohand polish all hard-to-reach sur-faces, such as around the door han-dles, under the bumpers, etc.

6. Throw away the blue wax applicatorbonnet and put a clean terrycloth bon-net on the polisher.

7. Polish the the wax in the same order itwas applied. Use long, sweepingstrokes in a criss-cross pattern. DONOT press hard; let the polisher do thework for you.

MAINTENANCECARE AND MAINTENANCE1. Wax applicator bonnets are to be used

only once and disposed of.2. It is recommended that the terrycloth

bonnets be washed by hand and air-dried to extend the life of the bonnet. The terrycloth bonnets are 100% cot-ton and can be machine-washed incold water with a small amount ofdetergent and dried on low heat.

3. Remove the bonnets from the padbefore storing the machine.

4. To prolong the pad life of the machine,it is recommended to store it with thepad face up.

5. Badly oxidized paint may require sev-eral applications. DO NOT USEABRASIVE COMPOUNDS.

6. Be careful not to apply too much wax. This is the most common error theoperator can make. If the padbecomes saturated, it will not last aslong, and polishing will be more diffi-cult and take longer. Two signs thatyou are using too much wax are: Theapplicator continuously comes off thepad and buffing seems difficult.

Disconnect power to the toolwhen performing any mainte-nance, assembly or adjustments.Failure to do this may result inserious personal injury.
