    Site Considerations

WORKBENCH LOADYour Model G7148 Slip Roll represents a rela-tively small weight load. However, the combinedweight of materials and operating forces may betoo much for light duty workbenches. Make sureyour workbench is strong enough to handle theanticipated weight of materials and operatingforces required to manipulate those materials.

WORKING CLEARANCESWorking clearances can be thought of as the dis-tances between machines and obstacles thatallow safe operation of every machine withoutlimitation. Consider existing and anticipatedmachine needs, size of material to be processedthrough each machine, and space for auxiliarystands and/or work tables. Also consider the rel-ative position of each machine to one another forefficient material handling. Be sure to allow your-self sufficient room to safely operate yourmachines in any foreseeable operation.

LIGHTING AND OUTLETSLighting should be bright enough to eliminateshadow and prevent eye strain.

Make your shop childsafe. Ensure that yourworkplace is inaccessible tochildren by closing andlocking all entrances whenyou are away. Never allowvisitors in your area whenassembling, adjusting oroperating equipment.

    Unpacking

If you discover the slip roll is damaged afteryouve signed for delivery, and the truck and dri-ver are gone, you will need to file a freight claimwith the carrier. Save the containers and all pack-ing materials for possible inspection by the carri-er or its agent. Without the packing materials, fil-ing a freight claim can be difficult. If you needassistance determining whether you need to file afreight claim, or with the procedure to file one, please contact our Customer Service.

    Cleaning

The slip roll is covered with a protective greasefor shipping purposes. Clean this with a non-sol-vent cleaner such as the Model G7895 CitrusDegreaser in the Grizzly catalog.

Do not use gasoline orother petroleum-basedsolvents to clean with. They have low flashpoints which make themextremely flammable. Arisk of explosion andburning exists if theseproducts are used .Serious personal injurymay occur.
