    Demolition Schedule

    Applied for Raze permits for the 3

    existing buildings.

    Raze process should take 6 weeks

    to complete- likely start in July 2015.

    Raze the buildings, place four inches

    of topsoil and seed the entire site.

    AECOM is environmental lead for

    HazMat Assessment and Abatement.

    McCormick & Taylor is the third-party

    environmental monitor for Demo and

    Construction.

    Contractor will monitor the

    surrounding roadways for tracked

    soil and will utilize street sweepers

    when needed.

    Site Controls: silt fencing, hay bales,

    gravel construction entrance,

    stormwater inlet protection and

    mister for dust control.

  • Asbestos and Lead Removal

    Asbestos and lead abatement

    completed in June 2015 in

    accordance with DC Regulations.

    Abatement conducted under

    negative pressure conditions with

    sealed doors utilizing proper worker

    protection (HEPA filters).

    Monitored the air to ensure no

    workers were exposed and no

    particles become airborne off site.

    Submitted air monitoring report to

    DDOE to ensure compliance.

    Lead paint collected and disposed

    to an off site to licensed facility.

    Temporary EPA ID # was acquired

    to dispose of hazardous material.

    DDOE Directive Letter – Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST)

    Underground Storage Tanks were

    removed without going through

    proper Underground Storage Tank

    Closure process with DDOE.

    To remove the soil, requested

    Erosion and Sediment Control

    permits from DDOE.

    LUST case was opened by

    DDOE.

    Soil with petroleum residue is

    being removed and disposed of at

    an authorized facility by AECOM.
