Watchtower Books That Are Out of Print that Changed People’s Lives

Whenever the Watchtower places a book out of print Jehovah’s Witnesses will claim it’s old light and now it’s time for some New Light. The following are quotations taken from the Watchtower’s CD version regarding some of these books. One book is “The Divine Plan of the Ages” and the other is “You Can Live Forever in Paradise On Earth” which has changed the lives of many people supposedly for the better.

*** w95 4/15 7 Joy in Store for Those Who Find the Truth ***Joy in Store for Those Who Find the Truth“IN HIS attic, a Finnish man found the book The Divine Plan of the Ages. He started to read it on the spot, and before long he said to himself, ‘This is the truth; this is the truth.’ Upon coming down from the attic, he told his wife, “I have found the true religion.” This experience is unusual in the way this man found the truth, but many of Jehovah’s Witnesses could relate a similar reaction. Notice ladies and gentlemen this Finnish man found the truth by reading “The Divine Plan of the Ages” not the Bible. This man derived the truth just by reading this book. Who is this man? The Watchtower doesn’t identify this man but he has found the true religion according to the Watchtower. What is more incredible, this Finnish man became a Jehovah’s Witness on the spot. Well, he didn’t get baptized but now he must find a Kingdom Hall to join. I mean he was very excited running down from the attic screaming I HAVE FOUND THE TRUE RELIGION. His next step is to find a Kingdom Hall and get baptized. What exactly did this man read that he immediately screamed the words running down from the attic “I have found the true religion?” He had to read the entire book of course in order to claim he found the true religion.

This book “The Divine Plan of the Ages” that supposedly lead this Finnish man to the truth is no longer printed by The Watchtower. What happened? Is this book no longer considered the truth anymore? Why put this book out of print where there is evidence of people coming to the truth because of it? Wouldn’t that be considerd a powerful book that converted this man to the religion of Jehovah Witnesses? Wouldn’t it be common sense to keep such a book in print.

Not only does this Finnish man who found the truth because of this book, but there are other similar stories written in the Watchtower as well. Observe the next quotations by the Watchtower.

*** w1972 3/1 146 Pursued by Goodness and Loving-kindness ***After she got the publication The Divine Plan of the Ages, mother read it eagerly, proving each point carefully with her Bible. In a few days she said to us: “This is the truth. This is what I have looked for and prayed for. God has answered my prayers.”The Watchtower; March 1st 1972, CD version, Page 146

It would be truly heart-breaking to tell this mother “I’m sorry mom, this book is old light and is no longer the truth. God didn’t really answer your prayers.”

Here is another similar story in 1992.

*** w1992 4/1 20 Jehovah's Way Is the Best Way of Living ***Shortly after getting married, Dad decided to take something along to read on a business trip. In the attic, he found The Divine Plan of the Ages that he had bought years before. He opened it to the chapter “The Day of Jehovah” and read it. He kept saying to himself: ‘This is the truth, this is the truth.’ Coming down from the attic, he told my mother: “I have found the true religion.”The Watchtower; April 1st 1992, CD version; Page 20

Hmmm! Doesn’t this story sound familiar? Gee, it sounds just like the Finnish man three years later in 1995. It is word for word the same story printed in the The Watchtower; April 15th 1995; CD Version; page 7.

Both men found the truth in their attic and both came running down screaming I FOUND THE TRUE RELIGION. Lets say these stories are true. I just don’t understand, why would the Watchtower put a book out of print when so many people found the truth because of this book. I would really like to look at some of the truth written of this book, “The Divine Plan of the Ages?” by the Watchtower.

Lets take a look at one of the true teaching in this book:

- The Great Pyramid in Egypt is a Witness to all these event of the ages and of our day -- testifying in

symbols?

- The Pyramid's downward passage under "A Draconis" symbolizes the course of Sin? Its First Ascending

Passage symbolizes the Jewish age? Its grand Gallery symbolized the Gospel age? Its Upper Step symbolized

the approaching period of tribulation and anarchy, "Judgments," upon Christendom? Its King's Chamber

the Divine Nature, etc., of the Overcoming Church -- the Christ, Head and Body? Its Ante-Chamber the

Correction in Righteousness of the "Great Company" etc.? Its Queen's Chamber those of Israel and the

world who attain Restitution?

So, this is what lead people to the Truth by reading the Divine Plan of the ages. It is amazing how the Watchtower endorses pyramidlogy while Jehovah God condemns it! But it doesn’t matter, this book is old light and it is no longer consider the truth. In other words they were all lies.

What do we tell these individuals that were so ecstatic when they outburst the words “I found truth?” Does the Watchtower tell these individuals you believed in a lie this whole time but don’t worry, Jehovah God will give us new light as he always does? What about that mom that uttered the words “God has answered my prayers?” What do we tell her? Do we tell her Jehovah made a mistake by directing you to a book that has teachings of paganism?

Another book that is interesting to note and I know all of you are familiar with this book “You Can Live In Paradise on Earth.” This book is well known for changing the lives of many individuals as well. Observe the quotations again taken from the Watchtower’s CD library.

*** w1991 12/1 32 'They Used to Laugh' ***‘They Used to Laugh’A man serving in the army in Hungary says that not long ago people used to laugh at those who spoke about the Bible. But times have changed. The soldier recently wrote the office of the Watch Tower Society in Budapest, saying: “A few days ago, I read your publication You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth. Someone had given it to me on loan until I finished reading it. What is written in the book has touched me deeply and has made me think.” The soldier wanted a Bible and further information. Such response is no longer unusual in Eastern Europe. The Watchtower; Dec 1st 1991, CD version, Page 32

*** w1991 12/1 32 'They Used to Laugh' ***You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth is a book that gives hope by pointing you to the Bible’s answers. It has been instrumental in changing many lives. The Watchtower; Dec 1st 1991, CD version, Page 32

*** w1989 9/1 32 "Hope of a Better World" *** You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth has been instrumental in changing many people’s lives for the

better. The book, the same page size as this magazine, discusses practically every Bible teaching and contains over 150 teachingThe Watchtower; Sept 1st 1989, CD version, Page 32

In what ways did the Book “You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth” changed the lives of these individual? Again the Watchtower does not say. Sadly however, this book is also currently out of print. One must question the validity of these stories. How can the Watchtower print such wonderful books that have changed people’s lives and then come out and say “It’s old light and we now have a brighter light now?”

For books that have changed people’s lives so much they should be kept in print. Don’t you think?
