The Aspen Writers’ Foundation The Aspen Writers’ Foundation was founded in Aspen in 1976 as a cutting-edge poetry conference and literary magazine. Today the Aspen Writers’ Foundation is one of the nation’s leading literary centers and a stage for the world’s most prominent authors. AWF programs employ literature as a tool for provoking thought, broadening perspectives, fostering connections, inspiring creativity, and giving voice. NEW VIEWS Documentaries A recent renaissance in documentary filmmaking is having a major impact on public discourse. The Aspen Institute and Aspen Film bring to the Roaring Fork Valley NEW VIEWS Documentaries & Dialogue, a series featuring critically acclaimed documentaries and conversations with special guests. This summer’s series launches during the Aspen Ideas Festival and continues through August. Films will be screened at the Paepcke Auditorium in Aspen.

Art Gallery Exhibits The Aspen Institute displays its collection of artwork throughout the Aspen Meadows campus. In addition, three art galleries feature exhibits throughout the summer.
