Main Responsibilities include: - The provision of project management and construction supervision - Writes engineering specifications and prepares engineering design plans and drafts reports for Department projects, structures and facilities - Develops best practice papers for wastewater operation and development - Performs hydraulic modeling, gradient analysis, aqueduct system analysis, pipeline design Calculations and stress analysis - Provides engineering support for work in progress including field inspection and site investigations to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications and material standards Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering - A minimum of 5 years’ of professional engineering experience, including experience in a public water and sewerage utility, design and construction, with at least 5 years of experience at supervisory level - Good computer skills with literacy in Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Engineering Software e.g. Auto CAD, Water CAD and Sewer CAD - Good knowledge of operation of SCADA System - Excellent leadership and supervisory skills - Good verbal and written communication skills

The Government of the Virgin Islands invites qualified and professional applicants to apply for the

post of Engineer II (Wastewater), Water and Sewerage Department.

Main Responsibilities include:

- The provision of project management and construction supervision

- Writes engineering specifications and prepares engineering design plans and drafts reports

Salary:

- Entry level $34,634 - $38,930 annually, Grade 11 commensurate with qualifications and

experience.

Benefits (if applicant recruited from outside the Territory):

- Relocation assistance (Travel for self and baggage allowance)

- Tax free Gratuity at 5% of salary (on successful completion of contract)

- Housing Allowance, and Telephone and Travelling Allowances upon acquisition of a telephone

and vehicle

- Overtime Allowance (to be determined based on work demands)

Appointment:

- Two-year contract

- Subject to medical fitness
