4 THREE STAGEREFORMER PROCESS

As a first stage, untreated waste is processed to remove the recyclables and then dried to amoisture content of20% or lower.

The pre-conditioned waste travels into a waste-storage vessel to ensure a constant supply of input material. When traveling from the waste storage to the reformer vessel, oxygen is removed, allowing for conversion without combustion. Working in an oxygen-starved envi-ronment means the facility doesn't produce toxic oxidizedpollutants, such as dioxins and furans.

The syn-gas then directly fuels combustion engines to produce electricity, unlike similar technologies that use lower-efficiency steam turbines.

The initial start-up of the power plant requires an external fuel source, after which it is a fully self-sustaining system, powered by waste.

All by-products created during energy production can be recycled/reused, including: • BioChar for agricultural and filtration applications • Clean water• Ash • Heat for conversion of further energy • Heat for producing hot water• Heat for cooling

Our 100% recycler creates high quality syn-gas through a patented reformingprocess in which waste is cleanlyprocessed into electricity. Inputs include:• Municipal Solid Waste • Biomass• Sewage• Manufacturing Waste• Waste plastics • Hospital Waste• Agricultural Waste• Any other organic waste material

In a two-stage thermolysis process, the waste, heated to over 400 degrees Celsius, is converted directly into gaseous form, due to the lack of oxygen. Unlike other waste-to-energy technologies, Concord Blue uses heat transfer instead of incineration to convert the waste.

The gas produced in the thermolyser then travels to the separate reforming vessel, where it is transformed into high quality syn-gas.

Heat carrier balls are heated to a high temperature and dropped from the heat carrier vessel to be mixed in with the organic waste.
