Change of Address / Moving in 2019

If you are leaving us at the end of this year, you need to notify the school in writing. This is very important for school organisation and staffing structures.

School Workbooks and Book packs

In 2019 students all students in Years K - 6 will be using various workbooks. They will also need to purchase School book packs with their year’s supply of books, pens, pencils etc. More details about Workbooks and Book Packs will be available later this term.

Parent Survey

We value your feedback. Please complete this short survey to assist us with our School Evaluation for 2019.

2019 School Year

As you are aware due to our student numbers, there are often last minute changes to class group-ings that need to be made. When students return to school in 2019 they will remain in their 2018 class groupings. The children will be engaged in relevant and meaningful activities. We will place them in their new classes as soon as we possibly can. I need to ensure that all of our Kindergarten arrive as expected and that all new students are accounted for. I thank you for your support through-out this process.

We say a special farewell to Ms Callan—we wish you all the best as you begin the next stage of your career at Woodport Public School. Farewell Mrs Gillon we and wish you well as you begin your permanent appointment as Curriculum Advisor.

Farewell Year 6

Year 6, I hope that each of you will go on to continue your education with high hopes and

expectations for the future. As you leave us at Warnervale I know that you will take with you many great memories. Remember to always set yourselves goals and to work hard to achieve them.

I wish those families who are leaving us this year all the very best. To the rest of you, I wish you a Happy Christmas and a safe and relaxing holiday.

Regards,

Ms Jill Carter

Principal

Congratulations Mrs Green !! Warnervale Public School has been verified as having a healthy canteen!! The NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy focuses on increasing the availability of healthy food and drink options in school canteens so students can make healthier choices. This includes introducing new simpler canteen guidelines for all NSW schools. The Strategy was launched in February 2017, and public schools have been asked to transition to the new guidelines by the end of 2019. The guidelines can be found at: https://healthyschoolcanteens.nsw.gov.au/canteen-managers/the-food-and-drink-criteria

Look out for the date of the 2019 Open Day to be held in Jan/Feb 2019 which will include a look at physie, dance classes, a sausage sizzle and activities.

Contact Kerryanne by phone 0432182783 or email [email protected] for more details.

Physical Culture, or Physie as it is affectionately known, is a uniquely female and Australian dance sport with over 120 BJP clubs Australia wide. It is a discipline that uses controlled movement and dance to promote fitness, flexibility, strength, correct body alignment, body positivity and mental wellbeing in its participants.

Physie encourages confidence and resilience in young women and allows them to develop skills in a synchronized team environment. Physie is a sport that has modernized its enshrined traditions to remain current for the past 125 years.

Wallarah Point Physical Culture Club is a small not-for-profit club that operates out of Wyong District Youth & Community Centre in Kanwal, alongside the grounds of Wyong Rugby Leagues Club. Our club has been operating for 18 years and is a club belonging the Bjelke Peterson School of Physical Culture.

Being a small not-for-profit club, our fees are kept exceptionally low in order to promote inclusion of all. Term fees in 2018 breakdown to approximately $6 per lesson.
