11? Any questions while reading?
Group Work1. With 2-3 other students, review your notes for
chapters 10 and 11. 2. Each group will examine one of the four
components of the Myers-Briggs. I.e. Is Holden an introvert or an extrovert? Find a QUOTE that proves it. Then, we will record our answers on the board.
Independent Work Once we as a class agree on his
personality type, answer this question: based on the identified personality type and also what we’ve seen him get into so far, what can we predict he will do in the next few chapters?
Usefulness of Theories Chart
Label the third column “Myers-Briggs.” Then, answer these questions: Can you describe this theory in 1-2 sentences?
If so, do it! On a scale of 1-5, 5 being the most useful,
assess how helpful this theory is in helping you to better understand the characters. Write a quick explanation.
Label 1-2 aspects that are helpful to you, and anything about this theory that makes it less useful to you.
Homework Read chapters 12, 13, and 14 of Catcher
in the Rye.
