Thank You To Our Volunteers
Dear Warm Hearts ~ Warm Babies Volunteers, Hope you all had a glorious celebration of Our Jesus --- I am so Blessed by all the amazing gifts you continue to shower on us to bless the many clients we serve here in Longmont. Just Thursday we saw 14 clients in need (of course we were closed for several days for the Holidays), but last year we were able to minister to over 1,000 clients at our center because of your amazing gifts and support. I cannot thank you enough!! In his grace and love and mine, Connie Weiskopf Life Choices (Longmont) ~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Linda and Warm Hearts ~ Warm Babies Volunteers, On behalf of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado staff, volunteers, Board of Directors and most importantly, the many children and families we support, thank you for your generous donation of baby clothes, blankets, and hats to assist our families with seriously ill babies. We are truly grateful for your charitable support that helps us to sustain our programs. We exist for a simple yet poignant fact: Children heal faster and cope better when they are with their families. Your donation provides the important gift of togetherness to more than 5,000 ill children and their families served annually through our programs. Thank you again. Your support truly makes a difference to so many seriously ill children and their families. With great appreciation, Beth Alessio Executive Director Ronald McDonald House of Southern Colorado

Association of Volunteers Children’s Hospital Colorado ~~~~~~~~ Dear Volunteers,
We sincerely thank you for your donation of baby and child’s clothing Marian House Life Support Services. Together, we are making a difference to the lives of many. At a time when we are serving an ever-increasing number of people in need, we are thankful for your partnership. Your support is truly appreciated. Sincerely, Janet Hutchinson Colorado Springs Catholic Charities ~~~~~~~ Thank you also received from: Denver Medical Center Jeffco Action Center
Dear Volunteers, The Ronald McDonald House of Denver
wishes to thank you for your generous donations of baby items and pop tabs. The clothing helps us extend more
kindness to our families that have babies in the hospital. This gives some mother a first blanket to wrap her newborn in, or for a sibling that is upset and in need of comfort. The pop tabs are recycled and the money
goes into our House Operations Fund, which pays for everything we need to keep the House open and running. We sincerely appreciate your support. Hello from Baby Ella, Happy Spring??? With all the cold weather it is hard to remember that Spring is right around the corner.
Upon my last visit to the Baby House I noticed that most of the bins are slowly filling up, but we are short on onesies and undershirts. And as always we are can use toiletries, bottles, and pacifiers…at this point we could also use diapers (size 1 or 2). If you have a group that would like to collect things for my brothers and sisters, please consider these items.
Now is a good time to start thinking about warmer weather clothes, especially short sleeved shirts and shorts. The bins look fairly full with cold weather clothes. But, remember everything you donate is appreciated.
Thank you for all your hard work all year round. Love, Baby Ella

SEWING EXPO – FEBRUARY 2014
For many years, we have set up a display at the Sewing Expo held at the Denver Merchandise Mart. We are provided with a free booth, as a charity. We display quilts, baby clothes, preemie clothes and burial layettes. We hand out brochures and acquaint the public with our organization and our mission to help needy babies in Colorado. This year we had so much interest in our organization that we handed out close to 200 brochures as we talked to hundreds of people. As usual, we got new volunteers and donations from these contacts. We received monetray donations (over $100.00), quilts and yarn. We even received a donation of a roll of batting from a neighbor vendor from Missouri. The volunteers setting up and manning the booth were very gratified by the response to our program. It was great to acquaint new people with our mission of helping the babies in need. We couldn’t do the work for the “Babies” if we didn’t have such wonderful volunteers.
We want to thank: Carol Hendricks, Evelyn Rudiger, Lynne Taylor, Laurie Balzer, Carol Rothrock, Nancy Cochran, De Aun Burchi, Esther Mills, Donna Lantgen, Jean Jones, Frances Scott, and Richard Zwetzig, and Theron & Glenda Bredeson for sharing their time at the Expo. KUDOS to all of you!
It was announced that the Sewing Expo will no longer be held at the Merchandise Mart. There is speculation that one will be held in Longmont and one in Castle Rock. We will let you know when we get more information... and we would love to have other volunteers share this experience.
A LOOK AT THE PAST WHWB display from April 2010. Interestingly, the display board (in an updated version) is still used today
