This meal will be catered by Country-side BBQ. There will be a sign-up sheet in the hall for those who plan to attend. A count will be needed to give the cater-ers. David Zeigler’s crew is in charge of this meal. Dessert will be furnished by Fred & Rhonda Rast. They will be baking some of their award-winning cakes for this Christmas dinner. If you need assistance getting there, call 568-3090 and arrangements will be made to pick you up. Thank you Baptist Men’s Group! Thank you Fred & Rhonda!

Christmas at Metallic Club

Again this year, the Metallic Club will celebrate Christmas by remem-bering the homebound and those in nursing homes with Christmas bas-kets filled with fruit, raisins, crack-ers, socks, tissues, pudding cups and other useful items. The group will assemble the baskets during their meeting on Monday, December 21, at 11:00am. Also, Betty Pritchard will turn 81 years old on December 6th and Me-tallic Club will be celebrating her birthday. Betty is an inspiration to all of us. Through the years she has had many health problems and sur-geries but she always handles her difficult times with a positive atti-tude and has faith in our Lord that things will work out. Join the group for devotions, busi-ness meeting, a birthday celebration, and a holiday lunch with finger foods and punch.

Student Ministry News We have once again reached the end of a year and as usual we have a lot going on this month. There are many events that will be taking place at the church throughout the month of De-cember. I want to encourage everyone to take part in those activ-ities. We will be having our Student Ministry Christmas party on Wednesday, December 9th during our normal meeting times. Those that have signed up to bring something to eat or drink,

please do not forget to bring it on the 10th. Each year we have fun with a White Elephant gift exchange. This year we are asking that everyone brings a gift (maximum of $10) for this exchange. We also have our annual Lock-In scheduled for December 27th beginning at 8:00pm. This is always a great night of fun and fellowship and I hope to see you there. We are asking that all students bring $10 to help with the cost of the lock-in and for guys to bring canned sodas and for girls to bring desserts or other snacks. If any adults would like to join us for the lock-in, you are always wel-come. In the midst of everything on the calendar we are also making preparations for our Chillipepper trip the weekend of January 21-24. We will be leaving the church at 2:00pm on January 21st. We will be skiing on Friday before the first session of the conference. We will return on January 24th around 9:00pm. We have still have limited space for this trip if you would like to go. If you are signed up be on the lookout for more information coming in the mail. We are looking forward to a great trip this year. Speaking of Chillipepper I want to thank everyone for supporting our fundraisers for this trip. This is a great opportunity for each student to be able to earn money for their trip. We will have one more fundraiser coming up for the students that still need some help with their trip. Thank you for your generous support which makes this trip possible for our students. In Christ, John Harmon Phil. 4:6-7 *****Don’t forget to check out the calendar for upcoming events*****

Meredith Moments We just wanted to give everyone an update on the children’s musical, For the Glory of the King. We continue to practice every Wednesday night at 7:25 during Mission Friends, RA’s, and GA’s. The children are do-

ing a wonderful job learning the songs, and those who have a speaking part are doing a fantastic job as well! Please con-tinue to let your child listen to the CD of the songs. This is the best way to learn the words and rhythms of the music. Upcoming practice times are as follows:

Wednesday, December 2 @ 7:25 PM Saturday, December 5 @ 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 9 @ 7:25 PM Sunday, December 13 @ 4:00 PM (This is the day of the

performance and will give us an opportunity to run through everything before we perform @ 6 PM.)

Since the setting of this musical/play is a children’s Christmas play rehearsal, dress for our performance will be casual. Jeans and a red or green shirt or Christmas-themed shirt will be appropriate. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask one of us. Jane Ann & Chad Meredith
