Your Visit to The Monument On arrival - stop off at the Visitor Reception Centre, where you will find everything you need to plan and enjoy your visit. This is also where you can join the courtesy bus service which will take you up to the Monument. In the Gift Shop you can choose a souvenir of your visit from the collection of Scottish clothing and crafts, including a special selection of books on Wallace’s life and Scottish history. The Visitor Reception Centre is also where you’ll find Legends Coffee House - the perfect spot to relax before or after visiting the Monument. From freshly-made soups and sandwiches at lunchtime, through to coffee and cakes in the afternoon - there’s always something to enjoy on the menu at Legends. In a hurry? Then you’ll find that the Legends take-away service is just what you need. On reaching the Monument you can collect a personal handset (supplementary charge payable), with an audio tour to guide you through the drama of Wallace’s life and the features of this famous building.
