Dear Parents A warm welcome to the following new students and their families who have joined us recently at Wadestown School:

George McKeown (Rm 2), Sofia Robinson (Rm 2) and Simone Kelly (Rm2).

Toastmasters Leadership Graduation - Wednesday 16th of May

Last week the Year 8 students had their Toastmasters Graduation ceremony. The night started off with the

Toastmasters Teachers receiving their thank you cards and gift to show our appreciation on behalf of all the

Year 8 students. The Impromptu Speeches came next and each speech was interesting and entertaining and

the students did a great job with their presentation. Then everyone split off into three groups (Room 13, the

Library and the Hall) to listen to the Prepared Speeches. The variety of speech topics made them great to listen

to and the parents were an awesome audience. The students have worked really hard on the Toastmasters

course held over the past ten weeks and it was really cool to see it all come together on graduation night.

Overall it was a very enjoyable evening for both speech givers and the audience.
