AP World History Summer Assignment 2014-2015 Due: First Day of School Due to the breadth of required AP curriculum content, and the fact that sophomores have had no prior exposure to AP courses, students signing up for AP World will be responsible for knowing major events in world history from 8000 BCE to 600 BCE (the first of 6 required time periods). This will ensure that students have a general foundation of core knowledge on which we will build throughout the year. (Rising AP students are often irrationally afraid of making a mistake on the summer assignment. Know that we are not trying to find ways to penalize you on this assignment, but rather we simply want you to learn the required material. So, relax, learn, and do your best)!
