WORDS – Full of Potential WORDS – Full of Potential

• Our words have the ability to be helpful or harmful … a blessing or a curse

• Words of blessing and encouragement enable a person to reach their God-given potential.

• Negative words DESTROY dreams and LIMIT that potential.

• The Greek word is eulogeo, which means to commend with excellence of language.

• When we are young we dream big, there are no limits to what we can do and who we can be.  As we get older we are influenced by other PEOPLE and CIRCUMSTANCES in our lives.

• It is important for us as individuals to discover God’s plan for our lives and learn to BELIEVE in our God given potential

• Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

DREAM STEALERSDREAM STEALERS

• A dream stealer is someone who distracts you from reaching your potential and snuffs out any FIRE or ambition or dream in you.  We must be diligent to “guard our tongue”.  By THINKING before we speak, we can save each other from unnecessary hurt and unrealized dreams.

• Satan comes to STEAL, kill and destroy.  He often uses people to steal dreams and hinder the blessings of God.  He wants to PREVENT us from reaching our true potential.

• Elijah was a man of great faith.  He had confidence when he confronted Ahab, Obadiah and the false prophets of Baal.  Because he knew his identity and authority in God, the false prophets were all killed.

• In Joshua 1:6-9 God encourages us three times to be strong and courageous and that if we obey His law we will be successful wherever we go.
