HOW IT ALL HAPPENED
Always wanted to travel around the world... A good friend of mine was on exchange in
2010/11 Heard about Rotary Wasn’t the only one who wanted to go on
exchange I wasn’t the only one who sought to become
an exchange student 12 other student And now I am here!!
MY TOWN – FREDERIKSHAVN, JUTLAND
Population: 23.295 Area: 648.6 km² Companies: MAN Diesel Ship to Norway and Sweden from
Frederikshavn. Summer: 20-30 degrees (can be lower than
20 degrees) Winter: -10 – 5 degrees We ride bicycles almost everywhere.
FAMILY
I live with my mother, Helle, Father, Michael and older sister, Maria.
Mom: 50 yrs, secretary at a lawyer company. Dad: 50 yrs, works at a car company. Maria: 20 yrs, had a gap year and is starting
at the university. Moved to a bigger town for 2 weeks ago.
We live in a one storey house. I still have my grandfather and my
grandmother on my dads side left. I have 3 little cousins who is so adorable!
MY SPORT – FIGURE SKATING
I have been skating for 10 years. I started when I was 5 and just kept going. I have been to skating competitions around
Denmark and in Sweden and Latvia. I won the Danish Championship in 2009 for

SCHOOL
You start in school when you’re 5 or 6 and finish when you’re 15 or 16.
Year prep to year 10. The school starts at 8 o’clock. And is finish at
2.30 pm. You have different session eg, Danish,
English, German, Maths, Science, PE and biology.
In year 10 you have to go to 4 exams. Graduate in year 10 with a party with all the
other year 10 and you have to dress up.
DANISH FOOD
The Danish food is similar to the Australian food but there is some few things that Australians don’t have.
Frikadeller in English meat balls. Rugbroed – brown, healthy bread with lots of
grains.
FRIENDS
When I didn’t practise ice skating I hung out with my friends from school or from ice skating.
I’m together with my friends almost everyday – different between Denmark and Australia
