vWorkspace AppPortal Client Installation Using Internet Explorer
Prior to installing the vWorkspace AppPortal, it is important to make sure that Windows 7 patch KB2592687 is NOT installed. Follow these instructions:
1. From the START button, go to Control Panel 2. Click “Programs and Features” 3. On the left, click “View Installed Updates”
4. Click next to the magnifier (search) and type KB2592687
5. If the update does not appear, proceed to the next page to install the AppPortal 6. If you find that update, right-click on it and select “uninstall” 7. Reboot your computer and then proceed to the next page to install the AppPortal

Installation Instructions
Open Internet Explorer and go to the address http://portal.flywiretechnology.com Note: If it gives you a message that says it cannot determine whether you have the client installed click “do not show this message in the future” and click OK
Click on the “Downloads” tab
Once you click the “Downloads” tab, click on the link labeled “Download Full App Portal Client”
Click “Save” and once the file downloads click “Run”

Click “Next” on the installation wizard
Select “I accept the terms in the license agreement” and click “Next”

Enter your user name, organization and click “Next”
Click “Next”

Leave the “Enable Credentials Pass-Through” box unchecked and click “Next”
Make sure there is a check in the box labeled “Create AppPortal Shortcut on the Desktop” and click “Next”

Click “Install” to begin the installation and click “Finish” when done
It is not necessary to reboot your computer (even if the system warns you)
Launch “AppPortal” from the icon on your Desktop

Click the blue link to set up connection manually
Enter the following settings in the next window: 1. Set the Protocol to “HTTPS” 2. Enter 444 as the TCP port 3. Click the “Add” button on the right and enter portal.flywiretechnology.com as the Connection Broker and click OK 4. Click “Next”

Enter the following settings in the Firewall/Proxy Traversal window: 1. Put a check in the box next to “Enable RDP over SSL/TLS” 2. In the box labeled “SSL Gateway Server” enter portal.flywiretechnology.com 3. Click “Next”

On the Credentials screen: 1. Enter your user name 2. Enter your password 3. Domain name southerndataasp 4. Check the “Save credentials” box 5. Click “Next”

On the Display screen, change the color setting to “High Color (16 bit)” and click “Next”

On the Local Resources screen, check the following boxes: - Disk drives - Clipboard - EOP Printers
Click “Next”

On the “Experience” screen, leave all boxes unchecked except “Reconnect if connection is dropped”
Click “Next”
On the next 2 screens (Password Management and Desktop Integration) click “Next”
On the Auto-Launch screen click “Finish”

On the next screen click “New Farm 1”
Next, click “My Applications” to show your programs
Congratulations! Setup is now complete and you can launch your applications.
The next time you open the AppPortal, the farm name will read “My Flywire”

ADDITIONAL SETTINGS: To eliminate the log-on screen:
From the top menu click “Actions” … “Manage Connections”
Check the box to “Automatically connect to this farm on startup and click OK
