A Grandparent Success!On September 8th we celebrated Grandparents’ Dayhere at V!VA Thornhill Woods. Lynn from Lynrich

 Arts came ready to paint and provided the amazingopportunity to learn how to paint, gain a love forpainting or to simply spend some time seeing the sunthrough the trees. The paintings continued as some

true talents showed themselves through the scenery.

An Afternoon with TED TalksThroughout September we have brought forward anew series of presentations known across the globe asTED Talks. Believe it or not, TED started in 1984, basedon the concept of spreading ideas and bringing people

together. TED has now transmitted their amazingand prize winning performances in to online videosfor everyone to be able to take part in this culturalphenomenon. TED offers the opportunity for us tolearn about the people around us, gaining inspirationand enthusiasm for many global affairs.

Here at V!VA Thornhill Woods, we have begun tobroadcast these TED Talks, encouraging personaldevelopment, stimulating conversations and overjoyedentertainment. October we will continue with our

TED Talks Conversations and I hope you will join us forour in depth and eye opening discussions.

Mondays at 1:30 pm in the V!VA  plex .

helps these programs run, but each add their owpersonal touches that make the programs truly whthey are.

I would like to say a tremendous thank-you to foof our volunteers. They have been with us since thbeginning and grew with us as we grew at V!V

 Angela, Adina, Anna, and Valerie, you ladies habecome a staple within the Lifestyles program and(and the Community Members), couldn’t imagine any other way.
