    Standards

    Overview

isual System Simulator (SS) software is the industrys most comprehensive

solution for the end-to-end design of communication systems. t lets you create

the best possible system architecture by precisely optimizing component

values and eliminating the effects of impairments in the signal chain from the

earliest stages of the design through conformance testing. SS is an invaluable

complement to As Microwave Ofce software and can dramatically reduce

design cost and bill of materials by eliminating rework and ensuring components

    are not overspecied.

As SS software also includes test benches dedicated to specic wireless

network standards that let you conduct standard-specic tests to evaluate

system performance using the parameters by which the system will be judged

in service. For example, the test bench for iMAX certied products meets

802.16d-2004 (xed) and 802.16e-2005 (mobile iMAX) standards,

and includes all the bit-level functions, framing, randomization, S-CC coding,

interleaving, modulation, pilot, channelization, and bandwidth options for uplink

    and downlink operation.

    and IQ constellation.

The seamless integration of the Microwave Ofce

and VSS software gave me more meaningful results

because I was able to simulate my power amplier

circuit designs response to the EDGE/GSM

modulated input signal with one design platform. I

used Microwave Ofce and VSS from circuit concept

all the way through to product completion. I was

exceptionally happy with the technical quality of the

    ACPR and EVM simulation results.
