1 Safety
1.1 Intended use
In the event of inappropriate orimproper use, damage to theproduct and other property mayarise.
The product is used to controlyour heating installation. Thecommunication unit is connec-ted to your router using a LANcable or via WLAN, and estab-lishes an Internet connection forthe heating installation.
Intended use includes the fol-lowing:
– observance of accompanyingoperating, installation andmaintenance instructions forthe product and any othersystem components
– installing and setting up theproduct in accordance withthe product and system ap-proval
– compliance with all inspectionand maintenance conditionslisted in the instructions.
Intended use also covers in-stallation in accordance with theIP class.When removed, the productmust not be operated in anIPX4D area.
This product can be used bychildren aged from 8 yearsand above and persons withreduced physical, sensory ormental capabilities or lack ofexperience and knowledge ifthey have been given supervi-sion or instruction concerninguse of the product in a safe wayand understand the hazards in-volved. Children must not playwith the product. Cleaning anduser maintenance work mustnot be carried out by childrenunless they are supervised.
Using the product with a powersupply unit other than the onesupplied is considered to beimproper use.
Any other use that is not spe-cified in these instructions, oruse beyond that specified in thisdocument, shall be consideredimproper use. Any direct com-mercial or industrial use is alsodeemed to be improper.Caution.Improper use of any kind isprohibited.

1.3 Risk of death fromelectric shock
There is a risk of death fromelectric shock if you touch livecomponents.Before commencing work onthe product:▶ Disconnect the product from
the power supply by switch-ing off all power supplies
at all poles (electrical parti-tion with a contact gap of atleast 3 mm, e.g. fuse or circuitbreaker).
▶ Secure against beingswitched back on again.
▶ Check that there is novoltage.
1.4 Qualification
Only qualified electricians maycarry out the electrical installa-tion.
1.5 Risk of material damagecaused by using anunsuitable tool
▶ Use the correct tool to tightenor loosen threaded connec-tions.

▶ The outer connection cablefor this power supply unitcannot be replaced; if thecable becomes damaged, theentire power supply unit mustbe scrapped.

Bei unsachgemäßer oder nichtbestimmungsgemäßer Verwen-dung können Beeinträchtigun-gen des Produkts und andererSachwerte entstehen.
Das Produkt dient zur Steue-rung Ihrer Heizungsanlage. DieKommunikationseinheit wirdüber ein LAN-Kabel oder überWLAN mit Ihrem Router verbun-den und stellt eine Verbindungder Heizungsanlage mit demInternet her.
Die bestimmungsgemäße Ver-wendung beinhaltet:
– das Beachten der beiliegen-den Betriebs-, Installations-und Wartungsanleitungen desProdukts sowie aller weiterenKomponenten der Anlage
– die Installation und Montageentsprechend der Produkt-und Systemzulassung
– die Einhaltung aller in denAnleitungen aufgeführten In-spektions- und Wartungsbe-dingungen.
Die bestimmungsgemäße Ver-wendung umfasst außerdemdie Installation gemäß IP-Klasse.
Das Produkt darf im ausge-bauten Zustand nicht in einemIPX4D-Bereich betriebenwerden.
