Power supply types and connection information
According to DIN VDE 0160/05.88 Section 6.5 it is permitted to connect the machine to a three-phasepower supply without residual current circuit breakers!
It is not a problem to connect the machine to a TN power supply, and you must use an isolatingtransformer in accordance with the instructions in SIMODRIVE 611 Project instructions Chapter 2.4.3 -Connecting to a TT power supply or IT power supply (see the following circuit diagram).
MACHINES WITH THE FANUC CONTROL SYSTEM 21I ORSIEMENS CONTROL SYSTEM 810D MAY NOT BE CONNECTEDTO THREE-PHASE POWER SUPPLIES WITH RESIDUALCURRENT CIRCUIT BREAKERS!

Moving the base machine
Moving with a fork lift or lifting truckThe machines in the TC42/52 production series can be moved using a fork lift or lifting truck with sufficientlifting and carrying capacity (note that the machine weighs 2,500 kg!) when the coolant tabk/chip conveyorhave been removed befor. One comes carefully under the machine from the front, as far under aspossible, and then lifts only as much as is necessary (see Figure 1-1). Mind the balance. The forks of thefork lift or lifting truck must be at least 2.4 metres long.
WHEN MOVING THE FORKLIFT TRUCK UNDER THE MACHINEONE MUST ABSOLUTELY ENSURE THAT THEY DO NOT KNOCKAGAINST THE MACHINE HOUSING! ONLY LIFT THE MACHINEUNDER THE MACHINE BASE AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 1-1!
THE GUARANTEED WORKING PRECISION AND RELIABILITY OF THEMACHINE CAN ONLY BE OBTAINED WHEN EXTERNAL TEMPERATUREINFLUENCES SUCH AS DIRECT HEAT OR SUNLIGHT, COLD AIR,VIBRATIONS OR SHAKING FROM OTHER PRODUCTION UNITS IN THEIMMEDIATE VICINITY ARE AVOIDED.
IF THE PRECISION REQUIREMENTS ARE INCREASED FOR THEMACHINE, THEN IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN A CONSTANTENVIRONMENTAL TEMPERATURE AND ISOLATE THE SURFACE ONWHICH THE MACHINE IS INSTALLED FROM EXTERNAL INFLUENCES.THE INSTALLATION SITE CAN SIGNIFICANTLY INFLUENCE THE NOISEEMISSIONS COMING FROM THE MACHINE DURING NORMALOPERATION. TO PROTECT THE MACHINE OPERATOR, MAKE SURETHAT THE MACHINE IS NOT INSTALLED AT A LOCATION WHERETHERE ARE ADDITIONAL SOURCES OF NOISE OR THE NOISE LEVELIS AMPLIFIED!
TO AVOID ANY POSSIBILITY OF DAMAGE TO THE MACHINE,
ALL TRANSPORTATION EQUIPMENT MUST BE CHECKEDOPTICALLY TO ENSURE THAT IT IS IN A PERFECT ANDUNDAMAGED CONDITION!
ONLY TRAINED PERSONNEL SHOULD BE CHARGED WITHMOVEMENT/TRANSPORTATION!
THE MACHINE SHOULD BE HANDLED AND SET DOWN WITHEXTREME CARE (NO JOLTING)!
CHECK THAT THE SUPPORT CAPABILITY OF THE FLOOR ISSUFFICIENTLY HIGH DURING THE WHOLE STORAGE/TRANSPORTATION OF THE MACHINE AT 2000 KG/MACHTEN!

Moving with a craneThe machines in the TC42/52 production series can be moved using a crane with sufficient lifting andcarrying capacity (note that the machine weighs 2,500 kg!). Lift the machine by means of thecorresponding hooks (front side and back side - see Figure 1-2) and cables with sufficient lifting capacity.

NEVER WALK UNDER SUSPENDED LOADS!
ONE MUST AVOID HANGING THE MACHINE AT AN ANGLEWHEN MOVING IT! THIS WILL NOT GUARANTEE SAFE MOVINGAND THE MACHINE CAN BE DAMAGED IN THE PROCESS!
CHECK THE LIFTING CAPACITY OF THE CABLE!
THE ENDS OF THE CABLE MUST ABSOLUTELY BE SECUREDUSED SPRUNG PINS!
