WHY VOLUNTEER AT 4YFN? If you are passionate about the future of technology, interested in entrepreneurship or you would like to learn more about large digital organisations at events, then join 4YFN, the most cutting-edge digital event in the world. Volunteering at 4YFN will give you the opportunity to learn first-hand how the startup world works, meet investors, attend the inspirational talks by tech leaders and also attend the Mobile World Congress for free (1 day pass). Most importantly, you´ll be part of a young and enthusiastic team. So don’t sit back and grab this chance to take part in the most exciting week of the year! WHAT WILL YOU GET?

•  4YFN Pass for 3 days at 4YFN + 1 day at Mobile World Congress (on Thursday 25 February)

•  Once your duties as volunteer are over, you’ll be able to attend all our activities, such as talks and workshops •  Free access to the 4YFN Atfer Party at Apolo Night Club (on Wednesday 24 February)

We need 2 kinds of profiles for 2 types of tasks. 1. LOGISTICS AND ASSEMBLY PROFILE: Volunteers with background in events, production departments, client facing and customer care. Skills: Capacity to solve problem and proactivity. People interested in participating and learning about a big event from the inside, including the logistics, technical requirements and relationships with professionals involved. 2. ATTENDEE CARE & VIP SERVICES PROFILE: Volunteers with interest in business, technology, design and entrepreneurship. Skills: English, Catalan & Spanish language skills with the ability to deal with VIP and other attendees. People interested in having contact with investors, speakers, VIP and other attendees. This task give the opportunity to know the 4YFN activities from the inside.

1. MANAGEMENT OF THE EVENT

1. Assembly Team 1 & Team 2

They will work directly with the organisation, help them with the materials ( badges, t-shirts, magazines…) suplliers, logistics... Perfect for volunteers who want to help us during the previous weeks and attend to 4YFN during the whole day as attendee.

1.1 Team 1 11 & 12th Feb > 10.00 – 19.00h (with lunch time break)

1.2 Team 2 15, 16 & 17th Feb > 10.00 – 19.00h (with lunch time break)

2. Exhibitors Assembly Exhibitors care during the assembly: indicate their space at the venue, explain the technical specifications of their space… Perfect for volunteers who want to help us during the previous weeks and attend to 4YFN during the whole day as attendee.

2.1 Space only. Where big companies will set up their own exhibition booth. 2.2 Start ups booth & corners. Where the startups will come to show their products in a pre-built space.

18, 19, 20 & 21th Feb > 10.00 – 19.00h (with lunch time break)

3. Registration Desk Exchange ticket for badge for all attendees, investors, speakers, media.... Address their needs, inquiries and manage the queues. 21, 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > Sunday 21th >10.00 - 14.30

> Monday 22th > 8.00 - 13.30 > Tuesday 23th & Wednesday 24th > 9.00 - 14.00

> Afternoon shift > Sunday 21th >14.30 - 19.00 > Monday 22th > 13.30 - 19.00 > Tuesday 23th & Wednesday 24th > 14.00 - 19.00

4. Main Access

4.1 Access control: Control the entrance with a smartphone

4.2 Info Point: Customer Care and address the needs of the attendees

4.3 Cloak Room: manage the cloak room 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 14.30

5. Exhibitors Care Personalised attention to all exhibitors and resolve their needs. The volunteers will be helped from technical staff.

5.1 Space only. Big companies with their own exhibition booth. 5.2 Start ups booth & corners. Startups booths & entrepreneurship communities.

22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 14.00

> Afternoon shift > 14.00 – 19.00 6 . Plaça Major & Coffee Area The place where the attendees can take a break with food and drinks and have informal meetings. The volunteers have to help to set up furniture and materials and also manage the queues of the food corners. 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 14.30

> Afternoon shift > 14.30 – 20.00

7. Stages The volunteers will help with the production tasks; set up the furniture after each talk, help attendees to find their seats, carry the microphone during the Q&A time and assist speakers and production staff. Also we need 1 person in each stage to pick up the speakers from the Speakers Room and take them to the stage.

7.1 Stage A. Capacity: 450 people. 7.2 Stage B: Capacity: 450 people. 7.3 Stage C: Capacity: 180 people.

22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 13.30

> Afternoon shift > 13.30 – 18.30 8. Workshops 3 rooms for 30-50 people with talks and workshops. The tasks are: receive the speakers and help them to connect their presentation, control the access to the room, set up the furniture after the activities… 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 13.30

> Afternoon shift > 13.30 – 18.30

9. InfoPoint 4YFN Address the needs of the 4YFN attendees and inform about all details: agenda, activities, location, transports… 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 14.30

> Afternoon shift > 14.30 – 20.00 10. Private Meeting Lounge VIP room. Control restricted access and taking care of the VIP attendees (find a place to have meetings, offer info…) and arrange the furniture. 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 14.30

> Afternoon shift > 14.30 – 20.00

11. Press room Control restricted access to press. 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.30 - 14.00

> Afternoon shift > 14.00 - 18.30 12. Speakers room Control restricted access, taking care of the speakers and arrange the furniture. Control speakers schedule and keep in touch with the person in charge of speakers care. Also we need 1 volunteer greeting the speakers at the registration desk and walk them to the speakers room. 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 8.30 – 13.30

> Afternoon shift > 13.30 – 18.00 13. 4YFN at Moble World congress (Fira Gran Via http://www.mobileworldcongress.com/ ) Give information about 4YFN and side events to the MWC attendees. 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 13.30

2. ATTENDEE & VIP SERVICES

14. Founders & Investors 4YFN will select the best startups to meet Investors, depending on the topic and the track. Founders selected will spend two hours pitching, meeting investors and trying to get fundings for their startup. Volunteers have to help to manage the meetings. 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 13.00

> Afternoon shift > 13.00 – 18.30 15. Working Areas Manage the reservations for the meetings and taking care of the attendees (find a place to have meetings, offer info…) 22, 23 & 24th Feb > Morning shift > 9.00 – 14.00

16. Chairman’s Reception We will celebrate an special recepcion for our VIP guests at Los Tilos, Passeig dels Til·lers, 1 , 08034 . The volunteers will receive our guest. 22th Feb > 19.30 – 1.00

KEEP IN MIND

•  Please, choose 1 option and 1 shift (for example, 8. Workshops – morning shift ) according to your availability, skills and interests.

Every option has it’s own days and schedule. Please don’t mix or change the schedules, and choose an option that you can complete during all days and hours.

When you have checked it, send the VOLUNTEERS FORM to [email protected] with all of your datails. •  One week before the event we will organise meetings for each work. Attendance is very important to know every task and make the

work easier for everybody. •  We will give you a 4YFN t-shirt, please wear confortable shoes and denim or black trousers. •  Please, arrive 15 minutes before your shift and wait for the person in charge. •  Every shift will last 5 hours maximum. Please, don’t leave the work place during your shift. If there is any problem, please, talk with the

person in charge of the area. •  As a volunteer, you have free access as attendee to 4YFN + access to MWC on 25th Feb.

•  1 Daily ticket for food will be provided. •  As a volunteer you can access to the official After Party at Apolo for free •  We will send you the info to get your ticket at www.4yfn.com You will have to complete the registration process and get your ticket. After

that you have to collect your Attendee badge at the registration desk. Please collect your badge before your scheduled work (one day before will be ideal) cheking the registration times.
