GolF member sINCe 1999Born in:  WisconsinOccupation/Hobbies: Retired Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon, Golf, and ReadingTell us about your work with Operation Smile: I’ve been working with Operation Smile since 1995, and have done 10 trips so far with the organization. We go to third-world countries and repair cleft lips and palates for children. We also do Burn reconstruction and Hand reconstruction on children and adults. I have worked in Russia, Romania, India, Cambodia, Peru, Guatemala, Nicaragua, West Bank, and many smaller venues with Operation Smile. On a single trip, each surgeon will generally repair at least 30 clefts and other assorted cases. I have also been on 10 trips to Mexico with other doctors, spent three months in a hospital that treated leprosy in Taiwan, have accompanied numerous other outreach groups to countries such as India, Moldova, and Peru.Favorite Area at the Club: Golf course (of course) and Edge Adult Pool.Best Experience at the Club: I loved the Round Up, the Country & Western party.Dream Getaway:  I have yet to visit Cuba.Dream Foursome:  Arnold Palmer, Jack Nickalus, Angelina Jolie, and me.What golf course do you dream of playing? Enjoy panoramic views of the golf courses while lounging poolside in one of Edge’s Cabanas, lounge chairs, or seating areas with Fire Pits. Adults Only Edge Adult Pool is now open for your enjoyment. Adults ages 21 and up are welcome.

Food & Beverage Service on Weekends Food and beverage service will be available on Saturdays and Sundays until Summer begins. Diversions Sport Lounge will be available for food and beverage service when Edge Café is not open.

Look for Food and Beverage service offered daily at Edge beginning 4th of July weekend. Keep an eye on the Club email for updates.

Music At Edge Enjoy a DJ spinning at Edge Adult Pool on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00pm - 5:00pm, weather permitting.

Cabanas Cabanas at Edge Adult Pool will be available to reserve for the day. A Cabana attendant will assist you with your poolside needs, including cafe service, chilled towels, and more. Each Cabana comes with a fresh fruit plate and 2 one-liter bottles of chilled Evian water. For Cabana reservations, please call 1.800.854.5000, ext. 2 or stop by Diversions Sport Lounge.

Rental Rates $150 plus $200 Food & Beverage minimum ($250 for Resort guests)

Guest Policies & Fees Please note that during the Summer months, one Accompanied Guest per Adult Member is permitted at Edge Adult Pool. Both Adult Members must be present upon arrival and accompany guests at all times while at Edge Adult Pool.

This policy also applies to Cabana Rentals. Cabanas can accommodate up to ten people—any combination of Members and Accompanied Guests as outlined above.

Please note that Unaccompanied Guests are not permitted at Edge Adult Pool--guests must be accompanied by a Member at all times.

hiking ClubTricia, your “trainer on the trail,” leads monthly hikes on the third Saturday of every month around greater San Diego. Join us for an active, scenic adventure in La Costa’s own backyard! Explore a wide variety of local trails, experience the great outdoors, and get plenty of fresh air and sunshine.

The New Kidtopia! The new Kidtopia is complete! The renovation includes a new Nursery for infants (ages 6 months - 18 months) and a new play area for toddlers (ages 18 months - under 3 years). Also, enjoy a new Imagination Station Arts & Crafts area for children ages 3 - 12.

These changes will allow Kidtopia to accommodate more infants and toddlers (ages 6 months - Under Age 3, and children who are not bathroom independent) at a time. Kidtopia care for infants (ages 6 months - 18 months) will be at a 2:1 ratio, and care for toddlers (ages 18 months - under 3 years) at a 3:1 ratio.

The New Kidtopia also features a six-passenger stroller for “On the Go” strolls around the Club. Also, look for more fun programming and activities for children of all ages at the New Kidtopia!
