to address theThe objective of this project islackofIndia'sstakeintheinternationalquestfordevelopingascalablequantumcomputer.
The implementation scheme described herein usesoptical coherent control approaches that utilizeshapedshortpulsestoimplementtheDeutsch–Jozsa(DJ)algorithminrovibrationalstates.Thisistowardsthegoalofdevelopingascalablemodelforquantuminformationandcomputing.Thus,itpresentsanovelapproach to quantum information processing andquantumcomputationbasedonthedevelopmentsoffemtosecond laser pulse shaping from the Femto
laboratory of IIT Kanpur. As there have been onlylimitedeffortsontheexperimentalsidenationwide;this proposal is geared towards experimentalimplementation which would result in a proof-of-principledevelopmentwiththeoreticalinsight.Thus,this effortwould be a significant development thatwould help bridge the gap between theory andexperiment and would provide the much-neededimpetus for quantum computing and informationresearchinthecountry.
