Well hope you all are doing fine! The excitement is just beginning to wear off after having a great time in Texas for the

Lone Star Leather Crafters edition of the IFoLG show for 2007. Next issue of our guild newsletter will have much more about the show. This month our meeting being in Reseda on the 28th which is Sunday, I hope we have a good crowd. Last guild meeting video was not watched there was to be one about Care of your Leather tools and there use. Our August workshop was at SBTP meeting location on the subject of Leather Design layout. This month bring some tools you would like help with, but we will show the video if we can. Yep, the International Federation of Leather Guilds show hosted by the Lone Star Leather Crafters is now over. The excitement of attending a Federation Show and having a guild display felt so good. Our table showed leatherwork of some past and present members. Next special issue of The Leathercrat will show what I ac-tually did take along. I hope the display helped honor “The Legends In Leathercraft” theme since some were a big part of The Leathercraft Guild. I heard from mem-ber, Fidel Gonzalez seems to be real happy at his rancho en Mexico, he is missed at our meetings. We will again have guild meeting raffles with some Leatherworking items and tools on the table. This is only if people support the cause by buying tickets. Also the items will be on display for our Original Leather Art drawing again this month and you can get more tickets too! This month we will draw a ticket for a tool raffle for members and guests, the winner will pick a Midas Tool by Kelly Tool Co. , New Zealand. The tickets will be only 1.00 dollar each. You choose from a large varity if you are the winner. It was hard to be able to do everything at the show in Fort Worth, there was so much going on! I just have to share some photos real soon. It was so nice to meet so many there at a good show put together by the host guild. There were so many fantastic entries, displays, vendors and many workshops I could not have enough time to attend. Happy Leather Toolin’ ! Robert Ambriz

It took time to get ready for this show, make some entries, organize our guild display! Member guilds of the International Federation of Leather Guilds got together for the annual show hosted this year in Fort Worth, TX. The host guild had a good Texas Bar-B-Q buffet on Saturday at the Awards Ban-quet. All the seats were taken for this event by the Lone Star Leathercrafters. I hope our guild table made a lasting leather impression with some of our guild library historic pieces. Being a member of several guilds, I entered items under The Leather-craft Guild but also displayed my leatherwork at the International Internet Leathercrafters Guild table, Leather Artisan Guild of CA member also but my items were not needed there too. They planned two special receptions on Friday, one held at Hide Craf-ters Leather Company and the other at Tandy Leather Factory. If you had something to share there and could not go, you just had to bring it to a meeting. I added some of my things to the display.

A viewing of a VCD slide show which repre-sents our guild history in photos of people and Leath-erwork was viewed on my old laptop computer at a past meeting. I created it in memory of our members to share at the IFoLG show. Nice chance to win some great stuff! Help support our guild, buy some tickets for $2 ea. or 3 for $5.00. The drawing is now listed on the IILG site. The drawing will be at the December guild meet-ing. These items are being raffled by our guild as a fundraiser and we extended the opportunity to others outside our leather guild. With the help of a out of town member, this excited the members to have a chance to win some priceless works of leather art. The tickets can also be paid for with Paypal if they prefer. Good Luck to all of you who support our efforts. There will be three big winners in December!

Natalie Fong entered two Leather Items in 2007. Congratulations Natalie!
