2009 has been a very significant year in the 100+ year history of

St. John Lutheran Home. The Maples at St. John is nearing

capacity, we began serving a new need with the opening of Vista

Ridge Memory Suites, our Grandkids & VIK child programs were

at maximum capacity this summer with nearly 50 children, and

to complement everything, we built a very unique, truly

intergenerational playground where our residents, tenants,

clients, and children can play together. All of these programs

complement St. John Lutheran Home, and help make a true

Circle of Care. In the coming months you will see us begin to

place more focus on our campus as a whole with a new logo,

updated mission and vision, and a goal of showing that the

St. John’s Circle of Care is a place where people truly live!

In 2009 the staff, administration and Board of Directors of St. John

Lutheran Home undertook developing a strategic plan to set us on

the path of making “St. John’s Circle of Care – a Tradition for All

Ages” viable for the future.

The mission statement was reviewed and time spent discussing

ideas that will most effectively meet the needs of the communities

we serve. Goals were developed to make St. John a vibrant

organization for years to come. These goals focused on person

centered care, financial performance, employee recruitment and

retention, and market growth. The Board of Directors is committed

to preserving the tradition of St. John while making the changes

necessary to meet the needs of future generations. The Board

looks forward to the support of the entire community in meeting
