Volume 22, Issue 52

It is that time of year …what should I give for Christmas !!!

In our world’s current environment and today's economy folks are looking to get the best value for their hard earned dollars. Choosing the right gift often leaves folks pondering…

What greater gift can you give your loved ones than security?

In the season of gift giving, think about this... Give the gift of a Heartland Membership…Fit all budgets and needs!

Silver Membership Level for less than a $1 a day...Your loved ones will receive programs like a $5,000 Guaranteed Group Life, MyTelemedicine, Careington Dental , MAS Benefits savings and many more services and cost savings from the Heartland membership programs for the entire year.

Women with children have full-time jobs as mothers… if your gone they require an income to hold that job. The most valuable gift a father can leave his children is their Mother’s time and attention.

Life Insurance is the greatest expression of a person’s love for their family… the sincerest love

letter ever written. With this plan, all of these benefits are our obligation. Without it, they are your obligation.

Indexed Universal Life! What better Gift can you give your family than protecting your family’s financial

well-being, Accumulating cash to supplement retirement income, and with tax-advantaged access to emergency

cash needs.

You can provide a gift that can last a lifetime – something you will always be remembered

for. If you’re like most grandparents, you’ve probably bought them a gift or two, right? What you probably

found is that what they don’t break, eat, or spend, they outgrow right? Children’s Whole Life or IUL!

Of course you will take care of parents, you love them. A gift of Long Term Care coverage makes it affordable for kids to fulfill their promises to take of their parents with the best professional care.

How will your family handle the expense of a devastating Critical Illness like Cancer, Heart Attack or Stroke? With a small monthly investment you can give them the gift of security. Critical Illness plans!

Remember Life insurance isn’t something you get for yourself. Life Insurance is something you give to the ones

you love! Often times folks think about saving a little “nest egg” to give the folks or organizations the they hold

close to their hearts...Remind these folks that ...

“a savings account will leave what they saved but life insurance will leave what they meant to save. You can create

an estate with the stroke of a pen with a purchase of life insurance.”

They may want to leave a legacy for someone or that special organization:

The list goes on and on for folks special interests. During the holiday season folks are thinking about friends, family, and all their loved ones. This year you have more options and you can give folks the gift of “No First

Year Premium” Accidental Death Policy.

Make sure you give your folks every opportunity to give the gift of insurance !!!

The Life Product Review has awarded the WYSIWYG Award to

both of our IUL products – Income Advantage and Life Protection

Advantage. This is an award that Mutual of Omaha is honored to

receive, as it aligns with our IUL philosophy.

In the industry, IUL products have become extremely complex. We

encourage you to ask yourself ‘Are these complex products really what

is best for my clients?’

At Mutual of Omaha, we believe there is value in having straightforward IUL products where clients have

upside potential and downside protection without all the complexity that you will find in many products on

the market today. We do not design our products with bonuses and multipliers in order to illustrate higher

non-guaranteed values, and we are proud of that.

Bottom line – we want to help ensure the IUL policy you sell your clients today is also a policy that you will

be proud to have sold your clients 20 or 30 years from now, when they need it most.

THE NEED Nearly everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer or heart disease. Unfortunately, many believe that their health care coverage is adequate to cover all the expenses associated with these conditions. As costs and deductibles rise, clients are feeling the pinch more and more.

CANCER Nearly 1.7 million new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in 2016 and with medical advances, more and more people survive this disease. Between 1975 – 2013, the five-year survival rate for cancer increased nearly 20 percent.

HEART DISE ASE Heart disease remains one of the most prevalent afflictions in the U.S. affecting 27.6 million Americans. About half of Americans have at least one of the three key risk factors in heart disease: high blood pressure, high cholesterol and smoking.

Health care coverage deductibles have increased 67 percent since 2010

Between 2009 – 2013 out-of-pocket costs for health grew 6.5 percent

Three Ways to Qualify

Volume 22, Issue 52

Cash Benefit Cancer Plan...Issue ages 0-69.

Pays maximum benefit amount in cash as listed in the policy schedule up to $50,000 for written satisfactory proof of a first-time diagnosis of internal cancer or malignant melanoma. Benefit can be used for anything - income while not working, travel expenses, at-home care, experimental treatment or whatever is needed. Pays in addition to other coverage. Available for individual, single parent, or family coverage.

HealthGuard (CILS)… Issue ages 18-64.

The plan is critical illness protection which pays a lump sum benefit directly to the policyholder upon written satisfactory proof of first diagnosis. Covered illnesses include: Major Organ Transplant, Heart Attack, Stroke, Total Loss of Eyesight, Total Loss of Hearing, and End Stage Renal Failure. Benefits are available in $10,000 increments, ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. Benefit amounts reduce by 50 percent at age 65. Individual and spouse coverage available.

ProCare® Medicare Supplement Plans... featuring the High Deductible Plan F (HDF). The HDF is a Medicare Supplement Plan F policy that provides all the features and benefits of a standard Plan F, but at a substantially lower premium. The difference is a calendar-year deductible. The amount of the calendar-year deductible for 2018, is $2,240. (Set by the federal government) Why does an HDF policy make great sense? U A’s Company statistics show the majority of their Plan F policyholders have annual claims well below the current deductible amount of $2,240. In fact, Company statistics show that 80% of policyholders ages 65-67 had annual claims averaging $524. If your clients anticipate few claims or small claims, an HDF policy may be the right choice!

After all, why pay premiums for claims they may never have?

Just get an appointment to have a "Conversation” ... Opportunity to make income!!!

You determine with the client what they need when you get there. Everything prior to that is just setting up the opportunity to talk.

Then it’s your job to “sell sumpthin”. Most folks have “gaps” in their insurance coverage. Our job is to show how one of our products will fill those “gaps”. That’s how we make money!!!

If you believe in your product portfolio selling “ sumpthin” is easy! You just have to be there!!!

Work a Lead with Focus!!! Agents tell us that they are unable to meet with a client because the client has _ . A number of things could be

inserted here:

Our Question is…WHAT DOES IT MATTER??? Do they have a Heartland with access to Telemedicine?

Do they have a Cash Cancer that pays even if the Cancer is

NOT life threatening? Do they have an Accidental Death Plan that pays up to ONE

MILLION DOLLARS?

DO THEY HAVE A FRIEND WHO YOU CAN HELP?

The MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION IS…DO THEY HAVE A

POLICY FROM YOU?

REMEMBER...THE INSURANCE BUYING DECISION IS AN

EMOTIONAL DECISION!

EVERY LEAD YOU RECEIVE IS An opportunity to tell your story to a

NEW prospect.

Creating multiple “conversations” opportunities from every lead is a

“must do” for success. There are various ways to do this, the easiest

is referrals! If you ask every time you’ll receive referrals!

LEADS ARE FOR CLOSERS!

They have CANCER

They have Obamacare

They have “All the Life

Insurance they can afford“

They have Blue Cross

They have “A Medicare

Advantage“

Remember, the purpose of ALL leads is to give the agent an

opportunity to do “Fact Finding”. This helps insure that each

client is given an opportunity to try to determine which plan

or plans will best suite their family.

Referrals—Referrals—Referrals!! The key to success is that

you receive at least 5 referrals at each appointment!

If you receive leads from the

ADI Telemarketing the script

they are using now is:

Hello Mr / Mrs .................. This is .............

calling you today for Red Steagall and our dear

friends at the Heartland ... Today I have
