Spain was best on all traffic aspects, a continuation from 2004. Our most promising country was UK, a confirmation that the good trend of Q4 and the unanimous approval of the 2005 marketing plan bear the promise of an ambitious future. As a reward and also the consequence of a fructuous cooperation with Edmundson, UK had the confirmation of three new partners commitment for 2005. All countries are active amplifying their performances on recurrence, focusing on “weekly users “, our main target and challenge for 2005. Subscriptions rate is increasing, mainly in Italy and Spain; we will have more than 700 at the end of February and experience a very high spontaneous re-subscription rate. Bruno Hamon

France Voltimum France Data Base We have met the FFIE last week and have put in place concrete actions so as to make this partnership revival. From now on, all the members of the FFIE (more than 4,200) can register directly from the site u and can receive freely a subscriber access to Voltimum. The only constraint is to fill a short formular so that we can call them later on and qualify our database. In the same time, we will make studies and propose prototypes with some referrent installers (Mr Barthelemy, Mr Desplats, Mr Guillot…) to help them in their daily needs via new links between their softwares and our site.

Lire le dossier We have send to our users the “Dossier Eclairage des Commerces” and are continuing to work on several themas to complete our “Solution and Application” Approach. Meetings and Potential Partners - We will have a meeting with MARECHAL ELECTRIC and CAHORS next week to confirm their interest to join Voltimum France this year. - A meeting is planned with APIBAT to confirm our partnership possibilities. Lobbying is done on a long list of partners (Delta Dore, Urmet Captive, Cooper, Maréchal…..) to increase the potential for new partnership agreements for the beginning of next year. New Functionality

We have sent a newsletter to propose an automatic uploading of the “VoltiToolbar”. It is a first way to achieve our target for the year concerning recurrence. Also, we are convinced that this new tool will allow an easier navigation on the MultiBrand Catalogue. In the same time, we have developed a function on the Homepage of Voltimum to present all the Events in terms of News and Products . This section is modified on a daily basis which give an impression to the professional user to see new changes on Voltimum at each visit.

Last but not least, we have put in place a portlet on the homepage which gives the opportunity for every member to use Voltimum as the default site when starting Internet Connection. Automatically, the member is then recognized and do not need to enter his access codes. This will certainly help many users to use Voltimum more frequently and is already seen as a real advantage by many of our users.

Traffic and Figures We are approaching 70,000 visits per month, with a big increase since the beginning of the year. This growth is the result of the 2 actions (VoltiToolbar and implementation of Voltimum as the automatic default homepage when opening an Internet session).

The aim is now to push installers to see more pages per visit.

<>

The second aspect is to work on the distinct visitors – more than 15,000 per month – to help them becoming recurrent and then weekly users. The newsletters and the thema files are not the only means to use to create some “recurrence” on Voltimum website in their habits. That is why we are studying some new offers such as “the Pack Volti Bureau” * and the News section “Top Actualités” to help them make Voltimum as an answer to their daily needs. *The Pack “Volti Bureau” is a way to help them doing their DOE after they have finished a building site. Next steps - All our energy is now focused on the follow up of the Marketing Plan (Thema files, Special Newsletters…). - We’ll also continue to work on specific actions which could help to place Voltimum as a daily tool for Installers. - Finally, we have started our “blitz call “ Action to transform Registered Users into Subscribers. For the moment, we have ~ 30 subscribers in our database, who have already paid for the Voltimum Privilège service. - Meanwhile, we are making some actions with Potential Partners to convince them to join Voltimum during the year 2005.

UK The UK has had a great start to 2005. We have acquired 3 new manufacturing partners bringing 8 new brands:

• Dimplex: the UK’s largest heating manufacturer • Volution Holdings with Vent-Axia (the UK’s largest ventilation manufacturer) and

Adaptaflex/Kopex cable management brands • Kew Technik: a well-known UK manufacturer of tools and test instruments with 3 brands: Kew

Technik, Socket & See and Major Tech Dimplex and Vent-Axia are particularly important as they open up a new product area for us: Heating and Ventilation. We hope that announcing Kew Technik’s partnership may act as a catalyst to other tools & test instrument companies. Very positive discussions are on-going with other leading manufacturers. KPIs January Actual February Forecast (@18.2.05)

New Registrations 1,100 1,000 Pages Viewed 223,000 192,000 Logins 16,300 17,267 Page views per login 13,63 Recurrent Users 2,627 2,325 Weekly Users 660 Distinct Visitors 4,881 Newsletter Circulation 16,000 16,882 We had a higher than expected number of registrations in January mainly due to a co-marketing action with the NICEIC. More importantly, we succeeded in reducing our Opt-out Rate at Registration (ORR) significantly through changing our registration process. Our total user base now stands at 26,500 which breaks down as follows: Contractors: Small 28% Med & Large 17% Specifiers: 13% Distributors: 9% Panel builders: 1% Others: 22% Manufacturers: 9% Now that more of our new users are opting to receive our newsletters, we anticipate an improvement in recurrent use and loyalty. Pages viewed in January were also very high. This was due to the fact that we send out an extra PR-type newsletter highlighting our achievements in 2004. Also, our VoltiBULLETIN in week 3 was on Part P of the building regulations which is of major importance to all electrical contractors. As February is a shorter month and our VoltiBULLETIN is not as ‘hot’ we anticipate that our figures will not be as high. Once again we are very pleased with the page views per login figures we are achieving. Our Recurrent Use rate was the highest ever achieved – the two main reasons for this are the Part P topic and the lower opt-out rate at registration.

The newly introduced KPI following Weekly users is one we have been asked to concentrate our efforts on in 2005. Our target for the year is 3000 and we achieved 660 in January so we have to grow this figure threefold in the course of the year. Special Voltimum support awards In recognition of their support throughout 2004, five companies were given special Thank You Awards: ABB, ITW Construction Products, OSRAM, Philips and Pirelli. They were recognised for contributions such as the following: Referrals from their website and support in acquiring new partners (Pirelli in particular). Special marketing campaigns promoting Voltimum (OSRAM’s ‘Mum’s the word’ campaign, ITW’s win a van campaign). Promotion of the Voltimum catalogue (ABB’s Manufacturer link). Major improvements to catalogue and support in all marketing actions (Philips). All the above companies have excellent track records in timely delivery of news and content for the site, good attendance at meetings and in conspicuous promotion of Voltimum in their advertising and PR. Each company was presented with a certificate and a piece of text for internal PR. Other We are currently updating our wholesaler database and making improvements to the Request for Quotation process before push this function very hard over the next few months. We have just received branch details from AIEW and IBA two of the UK’s buying groups with approx 150 branches between them. Personnel Frederic Lutt joined the Voltimum team as Portal Content Manager on 1st of January where he had a handover of one month with Marie-Anne Sampeur. Marie-Anne has returned to her native France.

Germany Promotion

“Fachtagung für Gebäudetechnik” in Rostock Voltimum started it’s promotional activities with participation on a regional fair organized by the state federation of Mecklenburg Vorpommern. The event “high in the north” of Germany had it’s focus on a broad range of workshops and seminars covering a wide field of interesting topics of the trade. Voltimum has been present to explain and demonstrate the portal and to support one of our federation partners.

Online tools seminar at Gehrmann Gehrmann, a wholesaler belonging to EGU and FEGIME, both Voltimum partners, invited selected installation companies to a special workshop about software and online tools. One of the three invited partner has been Voltimum. The present installers have been especially enthusiastic about our new “Expertenrat”. one installer signed a Voltimum subscription package “on the spot”.

Online Promotion of the optimised “Expertenrat” section To push usage of our optimised Experts section a dedicated VoltiNEWS has been published. since this action the number of questions has dramatically increased. In the meanwhile our experts receive questions from installers daily – in most cases about norms & standards problems. As expected this section is developing rapidly into one of the core sections of the portal.

Sweden Traffic

After two month of traffic reduced by the Christmas holidays we are now on our way back on track. We got good response on our two first newsletters in February and we will send another before the end of the month. Revenue sources Company acquisition adverts We have added a new revenue source to our portfolio. We have started a new section, in the newsletter and portal, where installers who wants to sell their companies can advertise and find buyers. We will charge 500 euro per advert. In Sweden there is a lot of old installers who are just about to retire and they have a hard time to convince their children to take over their business. This makes us think that this section can be quite popular in the long run.

Banners We have our first re sale to a satisfied banner customer, Installations data, which makes software for installers. This proves that our banners brings value to our marketing customers and make us optimistic about this year’s banner sales. We also have two new banner customers, Consultec and Cadcom. They both make software for specifiers.

News agency service The biggest fair for installers in Scandinavia, Elfack, has bought our news agency service. On the fairs official website www.elfack.com, our industry news are displayed on the right hand side on all pages. This is a very prestigious transaction for us and we are confident that this will open up for more sales of this service.

At the bottom of their site we have links to the portal and a form where you can register for our newsletter. This will give us some nice new registrations.

Marketing

Direct Mailing We have sent a leaf letter about the newsletter to 7,100 people. Most of them were self employed installers, a group which is pretty hard to reach by phone.

On the front side we displayed a sample newsletter and on the backside there was a registration form for faxing back and information about how to register online. So far the response has been very good.

PR We have distributed a press release about our cooperation with the Elfack fair to the industry media. The magazine Elinstallatören had a three page article about the seminar.

Newsletters We will send tree newsletters in February. We have changed the design a bit to make the newsletter more teasing for people who read their emails in preview mode. Meetings We had a Country Committee meeting where Voltimum’s CEO Bruno Hamon was present. He presented the findings from the Geneva Convention and encouraged the partners to use all the fantastic advantages that Voltimum offers as a marketing tool. We also presented the marketing plan and the content calendar for 2005.
