Business Customer Satisfaction Surveys
• November, 2014: DVR Surveyed Business Customers. 145 total responses. Of those:
– 40% have direct hired DVR consumers. – 85% were satisfied with services they received. – 64% were planning on hiring in the next three months. – Of businesses who hired a candidate, 95% said candidate met
or exceeded expectations. – 73% would work with VR again to meet their recruitment needs. – 87% would recommend VR to other companies.

Rehab Act Section 503 Goals
• Help federal contractors recruit, hire, and improve job opportunities for jobseekers with disabilities.
• Brings the nondiscrimination provisions of the regulations into compliance with the ADA Amendments Act of 2008.
Section 503 Highlights
• Utilization Goal: 7% utilization goal.
• Data Collection: Document and update annually comparisons for the number of individuals with disabilities who apply for jobs and the number hired.
• Invitation to Self-Identify: Requires that contractors invite applicants to self-identify as individuals with disabilities. Strict requirements for how this information should be requested and stored.
• Incorporation of the EO Clause: Specific language to be used when incorporating the equal opportunity clause into subcontracts.
• Records Access: Section 503 clarifies OFCCPs ability to review documents, conduct reviews, and request record format changes.

• TAP is available at https://tapability.org
• TAP is THE online tool for federal contractors and all businesses looking to find talented candidates with disabilities. As of 3.26.15:

Innovation and Expansion
• Financial Literacy (5 WDAs): Program to enhance consumers understanding of benefits management, resources, budgeting, fraud, etc.
• Careers in Recovery (2 WDAs): Training to assist individuals with mental health disabilities to develop supports and skills needed to prepare for employment.
• Breaking Barriers (SC): This helps customers address complex barriers such as child care, hygiene, supports, transportation, criminal record, etc.
• DET/DVR (2 WDAs): Collaboration to provide individualized employment and training services such as NCRC Assessment, developing a work plan, soft skills, interview stream, resume building, skill explorer, TAP, etc.
• Wrap Around MKE (MKE): Direct services to address barriers to employment: housing, medical treatment, food, basic needs, etc.
• GLITC (2 WDAs): Place joint tribal VR/DVR consumers in competitive jobs with Tribal entity site or within the local community. Internships are located in Lac du Flambeau, St. Croix, Red Cliff, and Bad River.
Place and Train
• REDI (28 sites): 4 week paid training in Walgreens stores for service clerk positions.
• Wheaton Franciscan: 8 week custodial training program. • UnitedHealth Group (UGH, 2 sites): 6 week customer service training to
prepare consumers for intensive on-site training and call center employment. • Project Search (7 new sites): International, 9 month training program for
students to make successful transitions from school to adult life. • Kwik Trip Statewide Initiative (88 referrals, 71 hires): Kwik Trip's "Retail
Helper" is an entry level position for DVR Consumers. • Marriott: 4 week custodial training program with focus on housekeeping, hotel
policies, and cleaning.
Wisconsin Fast Forward: Blueprint for Prosperity
• Lac de Flambeau Tribe: Working Connections project to train and hire 30 people in reception, housekeeping, and hospitality.
• Milwaukee Center for Independence: Train and employ 50 CNAs. • Grand Geneva: 24 entry level culinary positions. • Goodwill: Life skills training for 24 housekeeping positions with MKE
Marriott. • Opportunity Development Centers: 12 individuals trained into retail service. • St Ann Center: Training for 10 people as personal care aides, preschool
teachers, admin assistants and more at two facilities. • DSB Transportation: Training for 18 individuals to transport vulnerable
patients to medical appointments. • Vernon County: Six CNAs and two Dietary Aides • Top Promotions: Recruit, train, and hire 17 people into Blind Employment
Initiative. • Easter Seals: 12 entry level hospitality positions. • North Central Wood Products and Riverfront: Training for five positions in
janitorial services.
