The Tovara is a mangrove preserve where the sea water and springs meet, forming channels suitable for navigation. The ride starts at the jetty of Matanchen, where there are boat services accommodating four people for $400 which run eight kilometers offering a wonderful spectacle from nature. It is vital to take a photo camera! This trajectory goes from the tunnels formed with the roots of trees and plants, up to a zoo with fawns, hawks, coatis, macaws and crocodiles, in which “Domingo” is the oldest. At the end of the tour you can enjoy fresh fish and seafood, seasoned in the style of the region.
Very close to the Tovara, Las Islitas beach of tranquil waves and impressive sunsets is located. It is formed by three small bays separated by a cliff, and it is said that the place was formally a refuge for pirates. There is also San Blas, a quiet fishing village with a great historical value. There the Contaduria Forte was defended by José Maria Morelos, during the war of Independence. For lodging there are options for every budget, both in the village and close to the beach. And at night, near the plaza, it is a must to enjoy the antojitos (traditional Mexican snacks) seasoned by women of the port. You will never find dishes as delicious as these!

It is advisable to go by car, since the beaches are at a considerable distance from the town. Though there one can find bus routes, but you must pay attention to the clock in order not to lose the last route. Wear light clothing and mosquito repellent due to the closeness of the mangroves.
By car you can arrive from Tepic, the capital city of Nayarit, taking the federal highway 15, heading to Mazatlan.

Many young people follow the path of beaches with high tide that encompass the coast of the state of Colima, either driving in the Manzanillo-Colima highway or arriving at the Manzanillo airport, the horizon is wonderful, full of palm trees.
Once on track, take the exit to tecoman, known as the world capital of lemons which means “the place of our grandparents.” Following the main entrance, our first destination is located, boca de Pascuales, an
extensive open beach with heavy waves, which is recommended for experienced surfers. We can find peaks of four meters that break down to fourty meters from the shore. this beach is headquarters to several tournaments per year and is visited by locals and foreigners, who bring jet skis to ride the waves. it is a site with great eating options, as las Hamacas del Mayor, which specializes in garlic prawns, and for lodging there are many hotels or camping there is also an option.

Ten minutes from Boca de Pascuales we arrived to El Paraiso beach, a locality surrounded by palm trees and mangroves. Its surf is more tranquil and it is frequently visited to practice bodyboard. Along the beach there are tabernacles, which are perfect to enjoy the dishes that the sea gives us and which the locals season in a unique way.

Following our tour we arrive to Cuyutlan, famous for its Green Waves, which reach eight meters and appear between the months of April and June. It is feared and admired, since it achieved in 1932 a height greater than twenty meters that swept through everything in its way. Since then, the Green Wave is a legend that fortunately did not reappear in these proportions again, but with sufficient force to become a center of attraction for surfers from all over the world. The smaller waves are found in December and January, and are suitable for surfing, because the time it takes a surfer within the tube reaches five to ten seconds. Between April and July we find the biggest waves due to the rainy season. The tide is higher and the swell goes from three to seven meters in height, with a consistency of ten to fifteen waves every five minutes. The speed of the wave is excellent for training, for it reaches a speed of up to fifty kilometers per hour.

Pizza: El or iGEn dE un clás ico

S Since the boom of traditional video games that had their peak during the decade of the eighties, there are several games that have been in the minds of the players for generations, some even have earned the title of ‘classics’, but there are few recog-nized throughout the world that have be-
come icons of pop culture.
This is the case of the popular Pac-Man, a title known by many but at the same time and in a paradoxical way dimmed its creator, Toru Iwatani. Reason being for he is not as well known as some ‘rock stars’ of the video game industry as Shigeru Miyamoto or Hideo Kojima, the creators of Mario Bros. and Metal Gear, respectively.
Pizza: thE or iG in of a class ic
It all began in Japan in the late 1979, the year in which the gaming arcade rooms were packed with fans of shooting and spacecraft games, excluding those people who had no fondness for the genre. It was at Namco’s offices in Tokyo, where a young visionary and employee of the company called Toru Iwatani, had the idea to create a game where the main objective of the character was to simply eat.
It is possible that not even the same Iwatani imagined that what he was about to create would become one of the most popular game titles sold of all times, and much less that the pizza he had just ordered would have a determining role within this story.
According to the explanation given by the Japanese designer himself, after eating the first slice, he envisioned the perfect look for the hero, which in the first instance he baptized as Pak-kuman, in allusion to the Japanese onomatopoeia “Paku Paku” which determines the action of chewing. It virtually had its origin in a familiar action such as eating.

Huichol art is born of an ancient tradition of transcribing the images seen by shamans of the wixarika culture crossing the threshold of the unknown to interact with the divine.
these beautiful pieces are made with chaquira (small beads), containing symbols and legends of the Huichola society. the designs are inspired by the visions produced by the effects of peyote, a cactus that grows in the region.
in addition, the word wixrarika means “fortune teller” and refers to the Huichol indians, one of the most important indigenous groups that live in the state of san luis potosi.

a lejandro bribiesca is a visionary man who follows in the footsteps of his parents, salvador and violeta, who left a very
important legacy for Guadalajara, founding four decades ago the bribiesca art institute, the first school focused on design.
the talented tapatio continued this story, because “from a young age i was immersed in this fascinating field. i am passionate, sensitive and tenacious. i am looking for my inner peace. i enjoy team work, the development of my beautiful city and supporting the new generations of designers. i grew up being creative. i took graphic, interior and architectural design, but fashion is my thing and i studied it in this school. i did fashion illustration, worked as a model and i was a teacher within the institution and also developed schools of design”, he expresses.
in regards to Mexico’s position in the fashion industry, the entrepreneur believes that “we could be a major global player in the world and live from this sector. we have an ancient culture,
intelligence and we won the lottery by being born in this beautiful country ... but we don´t believe it. Countries such as Colombia, which have done a spectacular job along with their government, and brazil, which has grown dramatically in the field of fashion, are moving forward and we should learn from them, because the future is to develop designers that can make of Guadalajara and Mexico a place that sees fashion as art and culture”.
in this sense, bribiesca makes an enormous contribution with its project Mertopolitan studio design, a design loft focused on generating the creativity of new talents, supporting them with workshops. “this is a europeanized project, with an innovative educational model that gives professionalism to the emerging designers and works hand in hand with the design colleges, focusing on fashion, image, product and automotive design. it is a beautiful project that will give lots to talk about, because my life has been and will continue to be within this wonderful and noble world,” he concludes.
