Requirements for Change

• Managed switch(es)

• DL Codec(s) that accept VLAN tags

• New cable run from router to main switch

• Cable run from main switch to DL Controller

Steps to migrate to multiple VLANs

• Router configuration changes

• DL Codec – VLAN tag change

Tagged versus Untagged

• All switch ports can be untagged for the Private LAN

• All switch ports can be tagged for the DL Codec VLAN

• The only exceptions are on the switch to router connections, which should be untagged on the correct VLAN
