Visualization is extremely important to comprehend changes in luminance

for different materials and surface properties and predict the effect of

various luminaire designs in real-world, light and surface interaction.

With the ability to see results clearly for an entire project, AGi32 becomes a

mock-up substitute that can save time and money by creating a virtual

model of a proposed design. It can reveal characteristics and effects that

would be hard to detect in anything short of the completed installation.

AGi32 is a stand-alone tool, wich offers you possibility of:

comprehensive lighting calculations

ease of modeling

fast, high-quality rendering

Calculations:

AGi32 performs numerical point-by-point calculations of direct or reflected

light incident on any real surface or imaginary plane.

It allows you to select from two calculation techniques when simulating a

lighting application: Direct Calculation Method and Full Radiosity Method.

You cand simply move from one to other and just repeat the calculation.

Direct Calculation Method:

- is a simplified calculation technique to be used when reflected light need

not be considered in the results

- this method lends itself particularly well to exterior lighting applications

such as site lighting, roadway and sports applications

Full Radiosity Method :

- enables all the features found in AGi32 for the accurate computation of

interreflected light

- is required for interior lighting applications where interreflected light and

indirect lighting are important or when rendering is desired

Modeling:

AGi32 is a simple yet powerful model builder capable of constructing many

architectural environments.

It also supports import of 3D DWG/DXF allowing models created in other

software to be utilized or combined with content created in AGi32.

Rendering:

AGi32 can be used to generate fast and accurate color images of the

behavior of light within an environment.

Designers now have the ability to quickly visualize and share different

lighting scenarios before they are specified, purchased and installed.

Agi32 could be an alternative of the other lighting tools.Compared to the

others, it has some benefits.

Some of the major improvements of AGi32 are: • Image preserving interior glass for direct sunlight and electric light:

- will now more accurately predict sun patches in the environments due to improved

treatment of transition surfaces;

- will now more accurately predict the transfer of direct sunlight through secondary glass. • Dynamic Edit capability moves or adds corners or sides for rooms and

objects:

- provides the ability to easily relocate a vertex or move any side of a room or

object to help you recover from errors, or allow existing shapes to be modified when

changes are required in the project.

• Calculation support for Model Lighting Ordinance (MLO) (Illuminance on an

enclosed box).

- requires that a container be constructed around the site at the property line with

extents 10 meters above the location of the highest source. Then, a top must be put

on top of the container to compute incident Illuminance and flux density;

- Obtrusive Light command handles the construction of the calculation grids in a

single command dialog, you just have to select the z-coordinate from the top and the

borrom of the container and then the radio button for the enclosed box, after that you

just have to compile;

- Obtrusive Light Compliance Report tool provides an automated way to judge the

compliance of the project with the MLO guidelines.
