A few years back, I bought 3 of Chandrakant R. Bhatt's books and decided to illustrate an example  fromone of his books, combining my own formatting style with his analysis examples. 

In  this  particular  chart,  the  victim,  a  19­year  old  male,  had  gone  to  a  picnic  with  his  fellow  schoolbuddies and set up on this river bank. He wanted to go into the water, but his friends all advised him notto go into the river because it wasn't safe for bathing. He jumped into the river anyway and sadly, losthis life when he drowned. This young man was born during a Venus period and thru the course of hislife  had  yet  to  run  his  Sun  dasa,  his  Moon  dasa  and  finally  his  Mars  dasa,  which  is  the  planet  ofaccidents and a very strong badhaka house and cuspal lord for his 8th house. It was during the dasaperiod of Mars  ­Saturn  ­Saturn  that  the accident  took place and he  lost his  life. The  transit date wasAugust 2, 1973. On this date the Cancer Sun was 16 degrees 20 min. in the star of Saturn (the sub andantardasa  ruler).  Transit  Saturn  was  in  Gemini  at  6  degrees,  37  min  and  in  the  star  of  Mars  (themahadasa ruler). Transit Moon was in Virgo and in the sub of Saturn.

Please note that I have not included any degrees of planets in order to simplify the process and keepthe focus on the way Bhatt's thought processes worked as he went thru the analysis of the chart itself,although  if  you want  to  follow along using  the planetary degrees,  you can easily  calculate your ownchart and do so from the birth data provided here. And for those of  you who might find the arrows tooconfusing or annoying, you can simply  follow the analysis  from the very  first chart  that has  the birthdata listed in the center. 

I have made my own formatted design in order to make connecting the energy patterns in this analysisa  little  clearer  to understand. Each house  that  contains a planet  is  listed  in  the  following  format and

order:   Planet­ Star/Sub (example:   Ve­Me/Sa, meaning that  the planet Venus is  in the star of Mercuryand the sub of Saturn).   Above every house  is a white header  that contains  the House Cusp Owner  ­House Cusp Star/ House cusp Sub in this format and order. In this way, every significator, house owner,star and sub lord can easily be observed and followed thru out Bhatt's analysis and you will be able tofollow the arrows and thus connect the energy patterns easier  in order to to see why this young manlost his life at such an early age and in the manner in which he died.
